Malfoy's Past

~Draco's POV~

'Dear my beloved Kitten,
Things are going alright here, in the Malfoy household. It's my birthday today and as you know this is the big 13! Hope things are going swell by you, and wishing you the best! Hope to see you at hogwarts this year!

I gave the letter to Pigwidgeon and opened my large glass window for him to fly out when he was ready. "I hope Alice'll owl me back." I sighed petting Pig. He gave me a little nibble on the finger letting me know he was departing soon. "Fly safe Pig" I said as he flew out the window. I was in love with Alice. She was different, she was special, she was my one and only. It was really dark and gloomy outside, it always is on my birthday. It's like the universe always knows when to ruin a good day for me. But I don't really care, I'm usually in my room most of the day. I walked over to my bed, laid down on my side, buried myself in my thick dark green duvet, and gently closed my eyes. Not even seconds later I heard a soft knock on my silver bedroom door. I jumped to the sound of the door creaking open the next second. I opened my eyes and sat up on my bed. "Draco?" A soft voice questioned. "Yeah, come in..." I said in an annoyed tone. I see my mother peeking around the corner to make sure I was decent. I skootched over so there was just enough space for the both of us to sit. " I just wanted to say Happy birthday Draco..." she said softly. I knew she felt bad for me. I could see it in her eyes and in her expression. "Thank you mother." I said firmly. This was the first time in forever anyone wished me a happy birthday, even my friends at Hogwarts didn't know. "Look how much you've grown... my little boy." She was looking at me through the little silver mirror on the wall I front of me. I stared at my reflection for a few moments. I could see my mother holding me tight in the reflection. She was right, I did grow up... Narcissa got up and headed towards the door. "I told Kreacher to make you your favourites tonight!" Narcissa said smiling as she left the room. I sighed and tried to fall back asleep but I couldn't get Alice off my damn mind. Her dark brown hair, her cute button nose, clear tanned skin, and her bright hazel eyes were tattooed inside my Brain, I couldn't get her out of my head. I had to see her soon! I couldn't wait until August. I loved Alice and I'll do anything for her, I'll do anything for love. I needed to feel her touch on my skin, her comforting words to complete mine, and her just being beside me through the good times and bad. "The things this girl does to me..." I said under my breath. I packed my clothes just incase I stayed there for the rest of the summer, and my nimbus 2000 of course. I managed to go out the front door without my parents noticing. Why would they notice, do they even have a son? It was still dark and gloomy out. "Reducio!" I yelled pointing my wand at my duffel that had shrunk to about the size of and acorn. "appare vestigium!" I said pointing to my broom. The ministry might get me in trouble but my father will deal with it. A bright green light came out from my wand and wrapped around me broom then quickly disappeared. My broom lifted itself, and I hoped on before it left to Alice's house. My nimbus 2000 lifted itself high and sped towards the south. It was hours before I was comfortable enough to relax. I closed my eyes a drifter to sleep.
"Huh?" I said as I skipped through a long patterned hall. "Where am - Alice!" I yelled. Alice was staring at a big wooden door while I was trying to get her attention. "Alice!" I yelled again. She didn't hear. "Alice! I've finally found you!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, she finally turned around to face me. She smiled then turned back to the big wooden door. I started running towards her to give her a big hug. Every time I took a step closer she'd get further away. I sprinted as fast as I could, but still couldn't catch her. I could hear her giggling from afar but still facing the big wooden door. I could hear growling coming from the other side Of the door. I saw her hand move to turn the silver doorknob. I ran to her. Before I could grab her hand, she was already in. The door was left wide open, so I decided to follow her. It was complete darkness in the room. "Lumos" I yelled pointing my want in the air. But my wand wasn't working. "Alice? Where are you?" I said with bravery, but really I was terrified inside. I heard the growling once more before I heard I screech of terror. "Alice?! Are you ok? Where are you?!" I said with no bravery left inside me. I huffed before I went searching for her. Instead of the growling I head intense barking and then another scream from Alice. "Alice!" I said looking around, but it was no point it was pitch black. My eyes started tearing up. I was scared. Draco Malfoy was scared. I ran as fast as my little thirteen year old body could carry me. I found a dark corner in the room where I curled up and  cried. I heard footsteps coming towards me. "Draco? Help me!" A soft voice said. I recognize that voice... "Alice! Over here!" I yelled trying not to sound like I was crying. I felt her ice cold hands touch my scraped up knees. "Draco I-" before Alice could Finnish her sentence, a creature grabbed her by the neck, a tall, skinny, hunched, hairless, frightening dog of some sort. I looked up to see and hear her coughing up blood and screaming her tiny lungs out. I was so frightened I couldn't even speak, or move. I wanted to but I just couldn't. I just watched helplessly in horror as the creature ripped out her guts, bit her face off, and swallowed her whole. Blood splashed everywhere. It was worse then a scene from a rated R horror movie. When the creature was done with Alice, it slowly turned his head towards Draco. It growled in hunger and in anger as it eyed Draco. It walked towards him as its paws clenched out for him. Draco shuffled back as much as he could. The creature was up to his face,
opened it's mouth to devour Draco.
