Taehyung finished off his assignment and sighed, closing the laptop and turning in his swivel chair. Ten days had passed by since he last talked to the doe eyed boy and after that he didn't see him at all—however the noises were still prominent.

Tonight it was silent, no sounds and for some reason that made him more and more curious than relieved. Taehyung felt useless, not being able to do anything in any way to help the mysterious Jeon Jungkook.

Tears would sting his eyes as he lay in bed with no lights on and trying to sleep but it was quite impossible if you asked him when he could hear the muffled noises from above. Namjoon would ask why he had dark circles under his eyes, would ask if he stayed up studying and then when Taehyung replied with the same thing, he could only feel helpless.

"What if you move apartments?" Namjoon asked one night as they both were changing into their normal clothes to go back home.

Taehyung would sighed, "hyung, I really can't afford that at the moment. I paid the rent for a whole year and I can't get that money back, it was on the contract" he said, closing the locker after getting his bag.

Namjoon lived in the university dorms and he would be graduating in a couple of months but unfortunately Taehyung's university didn't provide any. "Tae, I really wish I could help you out" he told him, feeling sorry for his friend that was going through something he shouldn't.

Taehyung shrugged, "to be completely honest I don't think I'd be able to be in peace even if I do move to another place" he mumbled as they walked down the street, the two had decided to get some beer and street food in their stomachs.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow, "and why not?" the older asked.

Taehyung licked his lips, shoving his hands down his pocket. "I don't know hyung—every time I hear him cry I want to run up there and beat his so called boyfriend to death" he said, a slight growl laced within his tone which made Namjoon smile just a bit.

"Looks like you're in trouble, tae" the older said in a teasing manner which made Taehyung look at him with a questioning look.

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing, nothing. You'll find out on your own" he grinned which made Taehyung roll his eyes and shake his head. "And what's stopping you from going up there and beating him to death?" he asked which made Taehyung bite down on his lower lip.

"I'm afraid Jungkook would hate me."

Taehyung closed his laptop and stretched, feeling his tensed muscles start to relax as he let out a small sigh and grabbed his phone, slipping under the duvet to get some sleep. As everything silenced and the night took over his eyes wandered up to the ceiling—it seemed like the ceiling was the most entertaining thing to look at in him Taehyung's life at the moment.

The summer night was hot and he was planning to go to a party one of his colleagues were hosting but then when he was coming home after a photoshoot he was waiting for the elevator and this happens;

Taehyung closed the door of his car and walked towards the elevator, waiting for it to come down so he could get to his apartment. While he waited another man came and stood next to him, he was a tad bit taller than Taehyung and had quite a built body.

As the kind hearted man sent him a small smile and a nod the other just looked him up and down. "You're new, am I right?" he asked and Taehyung nodded with a small 'yeah'.

The doors opened and Taehyung walked in, pressing the number three and looking at the other man. "Which floor are you going to sir?" he asked and the other had an unreadable expression on his face.

"Four"

Taehyung nodded, turning his head to the floor buttons and was about to press it but—

"Ah, Jungkook must be waiting for me. Poor baby" he heard the other say to himself which made Taehyung freeze for a moment.

He shook his head and pressed the button and the doors closed. Jungkook? That means...is this person Jungkook's boyfriend?

Taehyung took a side glance at him and noticed he was looking at some photos that were of course of the doe eyed boy's. The phone was tilted to his side as if the man wanted to make sure that he saw it.

The doors opened and Taehyung was about to step out when he felt a hand on his shoulder that made him stop. "It was nice meeting you, Taehyung" he said and he simply smiled and bowed, forcefully pulling his shoulder away from the others grip and walking away without even looking back.

It dawned on him a couple of half an hours later how he didn't really introduce himself to the other yet he knew his name—needless to say Taehyung didn't feel intimidated by the slightest just because he was taller and was buffer than him.

He remembered how dark his eyes were and how judgmentally he looked at Taehyung and for some reason he couldn't help but wonder if he was a threat to jungkook even though he hadn't seen the boy at all after that night outside the building.

Taehyung was snapped out of his memories when he could he the faint sound of a bed creaking constantly right above him which made him role his eyes and groan, grabbing his earphones and plugging them into his phone and listening to the music that always put him to sleep.

He lay on his side and stared into the dark while the beautiful piano piece played in his ears. For some reason his heart was beating louder than the music, without even noticing he took one ear bud out and listened to the sound of the bed creaking above and even though it was fucked up he couldn't help but wish he was the one making love to the Jungkook rather than letting someone who doesn't know his worth touch him...what kind of thought was that?
