It felt weird

It felt weird. For the past five days Taehyung had been meeting up with Jungkook like it was normal. Even though they did establish the fact that they can be friends and Taehyung blurted out a drunk yet honest confession of love it felt odd not to hang out or see the younger boy anymore.

He sighed, it was his final year in university and he needed to get through this so he can finally get his dream job of being a psychologist. From young ages Kim Taehyung loved giving advice and being kind to strangers or helping someone out yet he never hoped for anything in return.

Currently he was doing some research for an assignment. He had morning classes and then he had to go for a photoshoot for an hour before getting to work and now he was in his room, surfing through the web while a plate of garlic bread was on the side. The chef was nice enough to give him some left over food from time to time.

He chewed on a piece of garlic bread and spun around on his wheely chair, eyes on the ceiling and wondering if Jungkook was there...of course he was but he wondered what he was doing. He wished he could go up there but Jungkook would probably kill him and Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at the thought.

Jungkook bit his lip, it was around six thirty in the evening and he was waiting for Sungwoo to get home. He made sure to clean around the whole apartment and made sure nothing would get on Sungwoo's nerves.

He was in his and Sungwoo's room, looking at himself in the mirror and smiling. The marks on his body had faded about ninety percent because Sungwoo wasn't home for the past five days and he just wished he came home all happy and not drunk or mad at him for no reason.

"Jungkook! Baby I'm home!" Sungwoo's voice echoed making the said boy still and he quickly pulled on the t-shirt he was wearing and put on a smile. He opened the door and walked in. His stomach churned in nervousness as his gaze landed on the man before him.

And to Jungkook's surprise Sungwoo smiled, a boutique of roses in his hand. The younger couldn't help but blush, walking over to him. "Are these for me?" he asked and Sungwoo nodded, handing the roses over. "Of course they are. Who else would I be getting roses for?" he chuckled and Jungkook pouted, hugging him.

Sungwoo hugged him back, "I missed you" he whispered and Jungkook giggled, pulling back. "Silly" he murmured, not wanting to say that he missed him too because if he was being honest he didn't miss Sungwoo at all.

Sungwoo cupped Jungkook's cheeks and kissed him deeply. Jungkook was so confused....why was Sungwoo acting like this? He hasn't shown him affection like this in what seemed like forever. He couldn't help but kiss him back, missing the feeling of being so gentle and passionate.

Taehyung was on his phone, taking a break from his research when he heard it. He heard a bed creeking and he could hear the faint sounds of moans. But no cries, no pleading or sobbing.

Taehyung couldn't help it... couldn't help but feel the jealousy rise in him. He grabbed his earphones and put them on.

Was Jungkook enjoying it?

Why? Why is Jungkook letting Sungwoo touch him when he clearly isn't in love with him anymore?

Taehyung was confused and he couldn't help but feel a tinge of anger too. He wanted to be selfish for once. He wanted Jungkook for himself. The past five days had been so magical and he'd do anything to have those five days repeat over and over knowing he wouldn't get bored of it ever.

He listened to the music running through the wires and reaching his ears, trying to block out any other sound.

A week passed by and Taehyung heard no fighting going on which almost felt surreal. He's been living in this apartment complex for a couple of months now but there was never a week that passed by without fighting going on in the apartment above his.

He bit his lip, his finger hovering over Jungkook's contact on his mobile phone but he knew he couldn't call or message him, no matter what he respected Jungkook's boundaries. He didn't want to get the younger in trouble. For the past week he'd been going over to the narrow road in the evening to check if Jungkook was there, feeding the cat's as normal but no, he wasn't there even if Taehyung waited for an hour.

He just wanted to see the boy and ask him how he is. He wished Jungkook knew how much he wanted to see him each and every day.

Right now he made his way to the narrow road, hoping Jungkook would be there and crossing his fingers for luck. He smiled widely when he saw him, he couldn't believe he was actually there. "Jungkook!" he smiled and his heart skipped a beat just being able to see him, running over and Jungkook smiled seeing him.

"Hey Taehyung" he greeted, standing up from the crouched position.

"I was starting to get worried. How have you been?" he asked. "Have you had the conversation with Sungwoo yet? About breaking up I mean" he asked and Jungkook gulped, looking down at the cats that were too busy eating to give their attention to anything else.

"I-I think I changed my mind Taehyung" he murmured, the other just stood there confused.

"What? Jungkook what are--"

"He's nice to me now. I don't know why but he's changed. I think I was just under the alcohol that night....maybe me and Sungwoo will be able to work things out you know" he said.

Taehyung frowned, "Jungkook you know that's not true. You told me that night about how horrible he is. He even forgot your birthday last year and the third year anniversary last month. Remember? You told me he raped you--"

"That's enough Taehyung-ssi" Jungkook hissed at him and Taehyung found himself surprised at how cold Jungkook looked towards him.

"See, he got me a diamond ring" he said, showing it. "He got me roses and chocolates...I think he's trying and as I told you I love him. So please, leave me alone" he muttered.

Taehyung couldn't believe it...he felt hopeless. He thought he would be able to put Sungwoo behind bars and free Jungkook from that man. But what he was hearing now was something he never thought for what seemed like ever.

"What about me?" He asked softly.

Jungkook bit his lip, "I'm sorry Taehyung but... I'm in love with Sungwoo. I don't think I ever gave you wrong signals. You'll be able to find someone else" he smiled, reaching over to pat his shoulder but Taehyung only shook his head and stepped back. "I don't know what he did to you but that man doesn't love you. Why do I always care for people who don't give two shits about what I feel? First Jimin and now you" he chuckled bitterly.

Jungkook had a look of confusion upon his face. "who's Ji--"

"Doesn't matter. Goodbye Jungkook, have a great life" he gave him a small broken smile before storming away.

It felt like Jungkook was no longer the Jungkook he had fun with those five days. It felt like he was talking to some other person that he had no idea of. He had no idea how this happened or what in the works happened for him to change so quickly in a span of just a week.

Taehyung felt lost...
