Taehyung brushed his teeth, looking at himself in the mirror as he dabbed the towel against his wet skin. The redness of his cheek was still visible and prominent but that was nothing compared to what he felt in his heart.

The way Jungkook glared at him and the way he took Sungwoo's side without thinking twice hurt him even more, it almost felt like betrayal.

"What did I do wrong?" he whispered to himself. He knew Sungwoo was cheating on Jungkook, it was just so obvious. But why didn't Jungkook believe him? Why couldn't he believe him?

After everything Taehyung thought Jungkook and he had some kind of special bond, but it seemed to be one sided.

He walked over to the boombox, taking out the tape and looking at it. So many thoughts were running through his head and he could still feel the burning sensation of Jungkook's palm against his cheek. Namjoon's words from a couple of days ago popped up in his head.

"You can't help him if he doesn't want your help. If he chooses to live in a lie and turn down your kindness then it's up to him."

Taehyung ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. "Whatever" he whispered and placed the tape back inside the boombox. That night he could barely sleep, he kept flipping this way and that way and even though he was tired physically he was wide awake mentally.

The biggest fact was that no matter what Taehyung couldn't be mad at Jungkook. Maybe it's the fact that he's a psychology student and by now he was striving in what he was learning so he knew why Jungkook was acting the way he was acting. Maybe it's the fact that no matter what he would always have love for the doe eyed boy living right above him. And so thoughts kept occupying his mind until he finally fell asleep around 3am.

Meanwhile Jungkook woke up around 3am, finding himself in need of some water. He yawned, reaching over to the bottle on the nightstand but it was empty. He looked at Sungwoo who was sleeping without a problem before slowly slipping out of bed, making his way to the kitchen. He slowly opened the fridge, not wanting to wake up his sleeping boyfriend as he grabbed a small bottle of water. For some reason he felt tired than usual, he sat down at the small living room and stared down at the water bottle in his hand.

He didn't know why but deep down he regretted what he did a couple of hours ago. He looked down at his palm and bit his lip subconsciously, wondering what in the world he was thinking at that time. "Why did I do that?" he whispered to himself. He could still feel the stinging feeling on his palm, he knew he hit Taehyung pretty hard. "I'm such an idiot" he murmured, tears brimming his eyes when he remembered the look on Taehyung's face.

The next day Taehyung had a morning class. He was a bit stressed with the workload he had but nonetheless he helped his classmates who had asked him for some help.

"Thanks for today Taehyung" one of his male colleagues said. He smiled, "no worries guys. I'm gonna head out quickly because I have work in 20 minutes" he smiled, waving to his friends before jogging out of the building.

Namjoon was already there as he was getting ready, putting on his uniform. "Oh hey Tae" he greeted, smiling at the younger.

"Your last day huh?" Taehyung smiled sadly to which Namjoon chuckled and nodded. "Yup, gonna miss this place" he told him. "When do you start your new job? Does it pay well?" he asked curiously.

"Next week, so in about four days. Yeah, the pay is quite good. I'm just surprised I could find a job this quickly, it's only been a week since I graduated" he smiled.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, "oh you humble king" he shook his head. "I'm just gonna miss my shift buddy" he pouted to which Namjoon laughed. "You act like a baby Tae. I'm always a phone call away" he shrugged.

Taehyung placed his phone and clothes inside his locker since they weren't allowed to use it, closing it and starting their shift. It was quite a busy evening and there were more customers than normal. He figured it was because it's a Friday and Fridays were always a bit busy.

There were a lot of flirty girls dressed up nicely who gave him seductive gazes. Namjoon could only chuckle at Taehyung's whining because apparently Taehyung had to be a tad bit flirty just to get that juicy tip.

Throughout the shift Taehyung also managed to tell Namjoon what had happened the day before. It wasn't like Taehyung was complaining but he knew Namjoon was wise and intelligent so he was always seeking for advice from him.

"Tae don't you think you should just give up at this point?" the older asked to which Taehyung gulped. "I don't know hyung... it's hard" he murmured. "I mean, he's the first boy I've ever seriously loved" he murmured.

"So what you're saying is..?"

"I can't-- i just can't forget about him so easily. Its hard...plus now I know Sungwoo is cheating on him" he murmured.

"What if Sungwoo isn't cheating on him? What if he just acted that out for you to react the way you did?"

Taehyung gulped, "but his phone rang-- I'm sure he's cheating on him. I just wish I could have some kind of proof to show that to Jungkook" he grumbled.

"Taehyung order number fifty four is done" the chef said and Taehyung quickly grabbed the plates, not wanting to keep the customer's waiting even though he just wanted to go home and watch a sad movie.

However what he didn't know was that his phone was going off inside his locker from a number he would never think he'd get a call from.
