Cole Evans, a boy with a look in his deep brown eyes, that could kill. He stands 6 feet even, with dark blackish brown hair. The past follows him like a lost puppy, a past that involves a boy that goes by the name Josh-Josh Garland-and Cole's father. God, that unholy man could do damage. Cole also uses cigarettes as a healer. Travis Williams was the one who gave him his first pack of cigarettes when he was just sixteen. The platinum blonde boy knew people who could get what he wanted or needed, now Cole and him deal together.
Curiosity got the best of him and now Cole is a addict, not to mention a druggie. Anything that Travis can get his hands on Cole will take it. Just not anything that he can't handle like the hard drugs. His father was the definition of asshole. Cole's father, in his younger years, used to be a dealer and got in trouble at times; that's what brought his mother and father together. Cole's mother loved the wild and crazy side of him, but when they got married that all changed.
The sound of shattering glass could be heard all through the night once his father came home from the bar late Saturday nights. It wasn't a pleasant sight seeing his mother, that used to love this ungrateful man, with tear stained cheeks while laying on the floor. His father would verbally abuse him, telling him he never wanted a kid in the first place and that he was just a mistake. Because of all the bad things that had happened to him in the past, it had given him tough skin.
Cole doesn't like expressing his feelings because he always felt like he never could do that, but once he met Josh all of that changed. For a split second in his life he thought everything changed for the best. A skatepark was just a couple of blocks down from his house and that's where Josh would meet him most of the time when he felt up for it. Fights would sometimes happen and it would be Josh who would start them. They shared bloody noses together and after they won, with blood dripping out of their noses, they just smiled at each other and Josh would pat his back praising him, whilst lighting a cigarette to calm both of their nerves.Cole met Josh by the school's cafeteria dumpster, both of them smoked weed together and shared multiple conversations. It made Cole feel good letting out his feelings and when he finished, it was like a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. Cole remember those three little words that grew a spark between the two of them.
"You're special, Cole." He didn't know if that was the few drops of alcohol talking, mixed with Josh's womanizer side, or if he truly meant it. Whatever that cruel boy meant, damaged Cole and ever since it was like he went mute. Now Cole doesn't speak his feelings to anyone, not even his close friends, Brian and Travis, who are like brothers to him.
Josh Garland. He is the boy every girl dreams about having, standing at 6 foot 3 he really can be a devious boy. Skateboarding is his priority and when it comes to fights, he's not someone you would want to mess with. Josh has dark brown hair and smirk that looks like he inherited it from a murderer. His mother and father have no idea about what goes on behind closed doors with their son, getting into fights and nearly killing people. He is like a wolf in sheep's clothing, innocent looking on the outside, but getting to the bone is where the truth lies.
Dealing and getting into trouble isn't the only thing he sets his mind to, Cole still rests in the back of his head on almost a daily basis, but he just doesn't want to admit that, as selfish as it sounds. Travis and Brian are his two best mates who he could count on. Josh has drinks with Brian and deals drugs with Travis. Everywhere Josh goes he is always prepared and keeps a switchblade in his pocket, even if he's at school. Sometimes he would use it to just get his way when it came to the nerds of the school.
Most of the time the boy is covered in cuts and bruises, but not the bruises you would expect. Like being said, that boy is a womanizer and can get what he wants and will get it if he really wants it. A toxic person can damage another and once someone gets attached to him, like Cole he can't help but listen to the stupid things that come out of Josh's mouth and follow him like a lost puppy.
Brian Conny. The boy that gets his drinking problem from his father. Caramel colored hair, hazel eyes, and a smile to die for. His mother ran away from his father when he turned thirteen and so he is forced to live with his physically and mentally abusive father. Sometimes Brian will come to school with a black eye and cuts that will cover his cheeks. Once his father nearly choked him to death, but the next day he acted like nothing ever happened. Both have alcohol that run in their veins.
The only person that seems to care is a lonely outsider that Brian just brushes off, only to wish and hope his stupid mind wouldn't do that. His reputation is what he worries about. The kid wants to be someone while in his senior year in high school. The outsider that seems to care is a girl named Jewels Rodriguez. Brian can't help but turn into a softy when he is around her, but when he goes home after a long day it's back to porch sitting, looking at the stars and downing a bottle of alcohol.
Travis Williams. Platinum blonde haired boy with little to no problems on a average day. Hazel eyes and a soft olive skin tone really drives the girls crazy. His style is grunge and he usually wears bulky clothing. Let's get one thing clear, anything can happen when you have a ounce of weed on you. Dealing can be physically and emotionally draining, but money is money. Travis can only describe his job as lucky. He's lucky that he hasn't gotten caught just yet, or mugged at that. A brother to Cole and helping hand to anyone that's in trouble. The only person that he has a strong relationship with would have to be CeeCee Vonté.
The way Travis started dealing was by the one and only Josh Garland. One night it became a plan that Brian, Cole, Josh, and him find a way to earn money quick and fast. Of course Josh knew people, he's the boy who gets around. Travis's family wants him to be the best he can be. The stress to him and tell their son how imperfect he is on almost a daily basis, it's what drags Travis to the peak of punching a wall. Anger issues is something he rarely has, but it's his family that drags it out of him and causes the boy to have outbursts.
Oliver Green. Basically he is a tree hugger, nature in its purest form is amazing to him. Oliver carries a video camera with him and a Polaroid camera, capturing memories so he can look back on them. Oliver has emerald green eyes and medium brown colored hair. He stands 5 foot 10 when he's not standing on his tip toes. Where ever you see him he always seems to have a beanie resting at the top of his head, never caring to take it off either.
Oliver is currently homeschooled because his mother doesn't really trust public school because of her past. His mother was abused by his father and she doesn't think too highly of herself, but Oliver tries to change her mind when it comes down to her.
When he was little his mother took him camping once and he loved it, now camping and campfires are his favorite thing. Seeing the little lightning bugs flying in the night always seemed to amuse him and they still do. Oliver is Brutally honest and doesn't realize. He is a goody-two shoes, but on his own. Sometimes other people will make him not think about the right thing to do.
All his life he has been kept from the outside world and doesn't know what the real world is really capable of. Of course he gets anxious and nerves, but when he listens to his music on his iPod all of that changes and he's in his own little world. Oliver's mother knows that one day she will have to let her son go, growing up and letting go the ones you love isn't always easy. It's really tough for his mother and she stresses to him on a daily basis, telling him that the world can be cruel. Oliver brushes it off and thinks differently.
Love is a touchy subject. He has never experienced it not true love that is. Being 18 and still haven't had your first kiss is something odd, but not to him. 'When the right time comes' is what he always says to himself. "Never change for anybody, stay the flower child that you are, Oliver."
CeeCee Vonté. An artist at heart, she expresses how she feels in drawings and paintings. She is a motherly figure for all the boys and has a kind heart. Raven black hair, dark olive skin, and glasses that rest on her face. Her height is 5 foot 6 and her makeup style is soft grunge. She always wears dark red lipstick that never seems to feather out. CeeCee isn't the type of person to get noticed, but when you hang around a group full of drug dealers it's hard to not to.
Sometimes people suspect that she herself is doing drugs, but she assures them she isn't and that she isn't like that. Which is true, CeeCee is nothing like the boys. Josh was the one person that she didn't really like. He was the one who made Travis start all this dealing crap and she tries with all her might to talk some sense into Travis, wanting him to quit and live a normal life.CeeCee sometimes has breakdowns when she becomes too anxious and when her anxiety kicks in. Music is her remedy just like Oliver, but both have their differences of course. Life at home for her is normal for the most part, it's just her family that sometimes puts her down. They make her feel like she isn't doing good enough. Her family praises her for how good she does, but they always seem to tell her that she could of done harder. Resulting to why CeeCee is a perfectionist, she wants everything to be perfect no matter what she does. CeeCee also has the tendency to hold grudges over certain things as well as her being short tempered. Travis to her is her everything, but he doesn't know about how she feels just yet. It can be stressful for her at times.
Jewels Ramirez. An outsider, a person who sits at the back of the lunchroom, and she only has one friend who would be CeeCee Vonté. They share multiple conversations about the boys they like and talk about life in general. CeeCee is the only person who knows what she goes through at home and with her parents. Jewels has a dark complexion, dark brown hair, chocolate eyes, and stands 5 foot 3. With her family they know that sometimes she gets depressed and feels like she isn't worth it, so that's why she goes to a therapist and has pills to help her. All she wants is love and the one person that she feels a connection to is Brian.
She knows his ways, the way he hooks up with girls and the way he is with his guy friends. Jewels just doesn't know if she is ready to be in that type of position, but things happen, maybe even for a reason. It's harsh to say the only thing she feels that could make her happy for now are her Happy Pills, stupid as it sounds she knows that, but it's just the way she thinks.
