The Life Before Now

Unusual Allies

In order to fight this entity, we need an army to fight his army.. The woman explains that she isn't human either, apparently, she is a wolf, but of course, she's in her human form at the moment - She suggests we make contact with a vampire that lives in the darker part of the forest. A vampire? You've got to be kidding, I thought it was crazy enough that I had a past life and somehow I have these powers to kill a being from over 100 years ago - Now I'm led to believe there is a witch, a werewolf and a vampire living in the same forest.. Come on, I must be on drugs or something.. You'd think that, but apparently not..

Now I'm in a forest with decay leaking everywhere and I'm supposed to be able to stop this, ALL of this - Letting out a heavy breath, I don't know how I'm going to manage this, I should of just stopped after the experiment with Blair and left all of this behind and just continue my life as a semi normal human being. But no, now I'm in the middle of something huge and I have stop the evil from going everywhere.. It's a lot for one person to deal with, especially when all they wanted to do was be a music producer and travel the world - BUT NO, I have to fight this urgh! I begin throwing punches out of pure anger and frustration..

The wolf girl looks at me, telling me to stop losing my temper - Kinda hard not to, all this stuff happening in a matter of months, nearly a year.. So I am sorry for losing my temper.. She grabs my shoudlers, trying to get me to calm down - we will find the vampire and we can raise an army to stop this entity from destroying the forest - Fine, I'll just keep all this anger in and put it to good use when it's time to fight, yeah, that sounds good. The walk continues into the late hours of the night, we then arrive at a large mansion, looks old, really old - And apparently someone lives here, suppose I'll find out. I carefully knock on the door, hoping someone would answer..

The doors swing open, I step in, calling out for the residents to show themselves - Also making it known my patience is running low. A woman walks down the stairs, wanting to know what I'm doing in her house uninvited - I tell her we need assistance. As you know, the forest is in danger, I'm the one that can stop it, but in order to do that, I need to make an alliance with everyone so that we can create our own army and destroy this entity. She is filled with suspicion, I can tell she doesn't believe me - The wolf girl steps in, saying she saw me bring the decaying trees back to life, trying to convince the vampire I'm telling the truth.

The vampire walks towards me, sniffing around me - She knows I'm not human, though she is interested with my scent - Back off miss, I'm only here to make allies and fight, no funny business - I think I make myself clear, she steps away, disappointed. Besides, I'm not food anyway - rolling her eyes, she demands I show her my ability, without hesitating, we walk outside and I carefully touch a decayed tree, she closely watches the glow emitting from my hand and into the tree, seeing it for herself, she finally believes my word - I ask her for information about the forest, what has she seen. The vampire woman tells me she feels an evil force surrounding her, taking control over her thrall - personally, I dislike this woman because she has a human under her spell, but I'll just leave it be.. For now-

After some conversating - I invite the wolves and vampires to join me at my fire later this evening so we can discuss a plan. Leaving the mansion, I head back to the witch's cottage, asking her if she would join forces with the other creatures and myself - She wishes not to be a part of this battle, she doesn't want to cause any further distruction to the forest, I suppose I shouldn't argue with the decision, I thank her for the guidance and I leave her cottage. I make my way to the nearby village, hoping to find a blacksmith, if I'm gonna be fighting an army, I will need a weapon - luckily, I come across a shop nearby there I see a man hitting at the metal he freshly pressed. I ask to purchase his finest sword, I watch the blacksmith lead me into the back of his workshop, taking out the strongest sword he had and presented it to me.

I take it in my hands, looking at it - complimenting on the craftsmanship, he then asks me why I needed a sword - Just looking for the perfect sword for protection - instead of asking me for money, all he requested was that I take good care of it, this sword is his favourite, also saying it is battle ready and will never let me down, passing me a scabbard, I hook it around my shoulder and slides the sword into it, I then thank the blacksmith for his help and I leave the shop. Going back into the forest to meet with the creatures I invited - I see everyone there, staring at me.. I invited you all here to share a warning, the evil entity that is plaguing your beloved forest is creating an army and he plans to destroy the world by filling it with pure chaos..

We're here tonight so we can prepare for the upcoming battle - I'm asking for your help.. Join me in the fight to protect the forest and the world, I know each and every one of you don't usually get along, but for this one moment in time, the forest needs you to set aside your differences and to fight along side each other and defeat this evil entity.. The forest needs you, I need you - I'm the only one that knows what is happening and how to destroy it, but I cannot do this alone, please, join me.. - They all look at me, then look at each other, I know it's a lot to ask, but surely, they care about the forest they live in, I know they want this entity dead and they know I can help them do that.

Moments of waiting for a response, the creatures talk amongst themselves, trying to come up with an agreement - Once the agreement is made, we decide on our approach, I outline the map I managed to write up, showing them every spot where I've seen a toy soldier - there's an area within the forest that these soldiers protect, the creatures call it the dark place, who ever goes in never survives, they never leave, they're trapped there, forever, or until they die.. I hope that with my ability, I'll be able to keep everyone around me protected long enough so I can destroy the Wizard, once he dies, the forest and all of the creatures will be free once more. The vampire asks to speak with me, stepping us aside, she tells me that there is a shadow watching us - Looking over her shoulder, I can instantly tell it's one of the Wizard's puppets..

Walking back towards the group, warning them we are being watched and we need to be careful - The shadow disappears once its presence was discovered - Now that we aren't being watched, we can continue on with the plan. I show them the information I have collected from my investigation around the forest, drawing lines in the ground using a stick, suggesting we strike from different directions, catch them by surprise - A wolf suggests we stick together, if I can keep them protected, they won't be able to attack us. I suppose he has point - We make the final decision about the plan, we stay together as a big group, attack the soliders and while they're distracted, I go in and kill the Wizard. 

The creatures agree - I feel horrible for putting all these lives at risk, I know that once the battle approaches, a lot of us may not survive.. I do hope that I might have enough strength to keep everyone alive.. I just worry I won't be able to save them all.. The wolf girl requests to speak with me alone, she says she'll be able to fight, but I can see the fear in her eyes, everyone is scared - it's okay to be scared.. It doesn't make you weak, it simply keeps you alert - I will do my best to protect everyone, you have my word..
