A pair of souls sat together, tangled together as they stared up at the stars. Their differences were in sharp relief like this, like stars in a night sky, and they were similarly inseparable.

"Angel mine," one said, breaking their soft silence.

"Yes darling?"

"Do you miss it?"

The other laughed, a short bitersweet thing, "More than I care to say, but I don't regret it. I don't regret falling."

The former hummed softly, tucking further into the latter's side, "Your work was-is beautiful."

"Thank you" the latter said in a quick squeeze of the former's hand.

The night sky glittered above the world. The twin souls would sit there until they gave way to the sun and her day, but they could stay until the end of the world.
