Chapter 17- Small Bump

The next day I went down to the kitchen at six am in the morning with nothing but my batman boxers on. As I opened the fridge and pulled out a piece of my birthday cake from last night and put it on a plate and got a spoon and starting the cake. Until my phone sounded:

I don't know where you're going. But do you got room for one more troubled soul?

I don't know where I am going. But I don't think I am coming home.

And I said. I'll check in tomorrow if I don't wake up dead

I answered my phone.

"This is Aussie's pizza place, who may I take your order."

"Really funny, Ketaa." said Mateo

"How can I help my feathered friend in need?"

"I am really regretting my code name, anyway that's not the reason I called, I have a doctor's appointment today and Yuki is out of town. I can't get a hold of Mika and I wouldn't be calling you unless I had no choice." Explained Mateo as I frowned my eyebrows

"Why to make me sound like a last resort." I deadpanned

"You are my last resort, Ketaa."

I sighed, "I will need to talk to L before I can tell you if Katriel will be allowed here."

"Call me back as soon as you know." Mateo said

"That won't be necessary Tori, your child may come to headquarters so long a Ketaa looks after him." Said L

"How long have you been sitting there?" I asked

"3 hours 2 minutes 13 seconds." replied L as he sipped his coffee

"I will have Aizawa pick Katriel up." I told Mateo before hanging up and texting Aizawa and he agreed to do it.

"So I take it you and Light will be trying to make head way in the Kira case today."

"There is only a 41% chance of that seeming Light was up most of the morning partying with the rest of the investigation team." stated L

"He's going to have one massive hangover."

"Humm." L hummed in thought

"I know I won't make a lot of progress today so I was wondering if I could hang around Katriel and you today."

"I wouldn't mind that so long as Light and Misa isn't around Katriel." I said

"Light is still attracted to Matsuda and Misa left the building with Mogi twenty minutes ago and won't be back until dinner time and by that time Katriel will be home." L informed me

I made myself a cup of coffee and sat with L, who seemed to be staring at my lips.

"You know if you wanted me to kiss you again all you had to do was ask." I told him

"What gave you the idea of that."

"The way you are staring at my lips and how you divert your eyes to your empty coffee cup everytime I catch you." I replied

"Maybe I was."

"Okay fine I was." L pouted about being caught out
