Chapter 16- Cup of tea

Zens/Ketaa's Pov:

As we all went downstairs. Many thoughts occupied my mind. I had one month. One month before L would become aware of the third Kira. Two months before Watari died. Two months until L died. Let's hope my plan works for all our sakes because I don't want to share this world with Crazy Kira and his 'girlfriend'. The day dragged on and I was about to turn in for the night when suddenly Mogi yelled out, 'Happy Birthday' and let off a confetti gun.

"What the hell?" I asked

"Well, Mika got in contact with L and demanded that you have a proper party so for tonight Light will be changed to Matsuda." Watari explained as he brought in the cake and alcoholic drinks.

I picked up one of the bottles to see what it was.

"Cola and Whiskey," I muttered to myself as I was bought into a flashback.

Flashback:

2015 (Zens 16) (Kiran 18)

I had just gotten home from my job delivering pizzas for the night. I opened the door to Kiran and my run down and beat up home.

"Kiran, I am home." I told him as I put a box in my hands down

Tonight was Kiran's eighteen birthday and I wanted to do something special for him.

"Hey, little bro, I am in the living room."

I entered the living room to see chips and his favourite marvel movie Thor playing.

"How was work?" He asked as he turned his head away from the Tv to me

"Frustrating, old man Malvian tried to steal my car again." I said as I sat down next to him with the small box in my hand.

"Happy birthday, Kiran." I told him as I gave him the box he opened it and pulled out a pair of keys.

"These are the keys to old man Malvian's old toyota corolla. You got me a car?" He asked looking at me in shock

"Well your eighteen now, I figured you might as well have your own set of wheels." I told him

"How could you afford this?" Kiran asked me

"I picked up a second Job at the library on weekends and told old man Malvian I wouldn't press charges if he dropped the prices of his car by a grand."

"You are the best little brother anyone could ask for." He said hugging me

Kiran then popped two tops off two bottles of Jack Daniels cola and whiskey and passed one to me.

"I am not legal yet Kiran." I told him

"I know but who cares, there's no cops here and we are celebrating." Kiran said as he put the bottle into my hand

"Don't be a pussy and drink it." Kiran told me

I sighed and shrugged and took a big swig and felt my nose burn as I started coughing causing Kiran to let out a peel of laughter.

Flashback Ends:

Those were the days when life was good. When Kiran and I were brothers united. But like all good things they must come to an end. I took a swig of the drink as I remembered when things in my life started to truly fall apart with my brother.

I was in a panic Kiran wasn't picking up his phone, I looked outside the window of my classroom to see a blue toyota corolla had smashed into another car. I dropped my phone in shock as I saw ambo's come onto the seen.
