The beach is inviting, it is the only place she remembers that gives her comfort especially on those days she feels down. She had lots of memories on the beach, where she spent countless sunsets with her friends in high school and college. It is where she learned to smoke. It is also where she got the first taste of alcohol, and those countless times she got drunk and wasted. This is where she almost drowned and saved by the only man she ever loved, Tristan. Her soon to be husband.

This year alone, they've unlocked several milestones in their five-year relationship. They just got engaged three months ago. They are about to celebrate tomorrow the first year anniversary of their restaurant. And five months from now, they will be the new owners of a beach house that they both dreamed of. And a month after that will be their wedding day.
She already asked Tristan earlier today if he can take her to the beach since they are almost done with the preparations for tomorrow's event and she badly needed a break. Tristan is so much busy on the phone all morning talking to their suppliers.

It is already half-past twelve when she decided to go without Tristan. She is still a bit nervous driving her car. She usually drives to Sunset Cove with Tristan on the passenger seat. And to top it all, she just got her driver's license two months ago. And this will be the first time that she will drive to Sunset Cove on her own.

She sneaked out her car keys and left off. She speeds up to catch the setting sun. She knew at her current rate of speed she will arrive at dusk and miss the sunset.
A four-hour drive is peat for a new driver, and every mile she becomes more confident. She tried to speed up a little bit.

She heard her cell phone ringing and it was Tristan. He was furious that she left and drove on her own. Tristan then gave her a strict instruction to wait for him at the Cove and he'll pick her up. She asked for forgiveness and said her i love yous but still, he hung up. She tried to call him back but he never answered so she decided to call Kristen. She learned that Tristan is already on his way. She is almost an hour away to Sunset Cove and didn't want Tristan to interfere with her plan to see the beach so she decided to push it through and meet up with Tristan on the beach, maybe that will make Tristan change his mind and forgive her. Tristan is an experienced driver and can travel to Sunset Cove and cut the trip in two hours.

She felt the adrenaline run in her veins when she reached the road that leads straight to Sunset Cove.
The road to Sunset Cove is covered by huge trees and a lot of stiff and curved spots. But that did not stop her to slow down. She is quite sure she is very familiar with every turn of this tricky road since she has walked this road as a child. The same road that his father and brother has navigated countless times with her on the backseat. Now that she knew how to drive, she felt free to do anything she wanted. Her mind became pre-occupied by a scene on her mind. She start to imagine the sound of the waves likr music to her ear. The rays of the sun that touches her face while waiting  for the sun to set. The feel of the sand on her feet as she stand still by the shore. The smell of the sea breeze that resonate to memories of long ago. And the sight of the clear blue sky that makes everything perfect. This is he perfect place.

Suddenly she reached a very stiff downward curve and she lost all control over the wheel. She tried to stop by hitting the breaks but instead she hit the accelerator by mistake. Then her car collided on a huge tree.

She eventually regained her consciousness inside the Ambulance and saw Tristan's worried face, she tried to squeeze and move her hand for him to notice. Then he suddenly looked at her with tears in his eyes. He kissed her hand with a very sad look. He could see him say I love you but all she can hear is the siren coming from the ambulance.

Her breathing becomes difficult as she feels the pressure and pain building up her chest. She could feel the neckbrace restraining the movement of her head as she tried to cough and was alarmed when she saw blood on her oxygen mask.

He never let go of her hands as she was wheeled from the Ambulance to the hospital's emergency room. But they had to let go of each other since they didn't let him in the emergency room. She could hear them say that they can no longer save her legs. She tried to move but was restrained and she could see her oxygen mask fill up with more blood as she coughed.

She prayed to God to let her live, to be with Tristan, she doesn't care to lose her leg in the process as long as she lives. She asked to be forgiven for everything she has done.

They wheeled her up to the operating room, she caught sight of Tristan as he tried to get near her. They agreed to stop for a brief moment and let him near. He told her how much he loves her and he'll be there waiting for her. He asked them to do everything they can to save her.

A tear fell from her eye as she lost sight of Tristan. She promised she'll fight to live for him. A very bright light filled her eyes before she completely lost her consciousness.
