It was eight o'clock in the evening, a huge crowd of people came in. Tristan and Alex are not around and people are coming in. The restaurant is fully packed. It is usually Tristan who gives them all the orders on what to do in cases like these. The restaurant is most famous for its pasta and pizza.

They were working all day for the big event for tomorrow and she's not seeing any moment to rest for a bit especially that the entire restaurant is in her shoulder. Today she is their leader, and she needs to take a stand to pull everything through until midnight.
Her cellphone rang, it was Alex telling her to inform Tristan where he might find her.

She then immediately called Tristan but is out of reach. They have accommodated twenty or more patrons when she tried to call Tristan again and told him about what Alex informed her. She told Tristan that the restaurant is completely packed too which he thanks her for handling the restaurant so well.

Around 10 AM, the crowd started to thin. Two more hours and they will be done for the day. She could already picture herself in bed in her apartment. Then her cellphone rang, it is Tristan telling her that he's currently in the hospital and that Alex is in the operating room, asking her to take care of the shop as he can no longer come back to close it and that they may not open tomorrow.

All her energy was drained immediately upon learning the news. She fears for the worse. She really wanted to be with Tristan right now to comfort him, to be together in this difficult situation but she needs to be strong especially in front of the crew.

They closed the shop 10 mins before midnight and told the crew that they can take their off tomorrow since the restaurant will be closed. A lot of the crew looked at one another in question?

Kristen then announced the whereabouts of their boss and ask for their prayers for Alex's fast recovery.

She then dismissed them and closed the shop. She took her motorbike and drove immediately to the hospital.
It is almost 1 am when she arrived at the hospital, she rushed through the halls straight to the reception and inquired for the operating room, she runs and immediately saw Tristan standing just outside the operating room door. She approached him and when they saw each other, they hugged and comforted each other.

Tears fell from Tristan's face, she knows how much he loves Alex, she witnessed how their love grows. She was always there to support him just like how he supported her ever since they lost their parents when they were kids.

He was always the face of strength and confidence, and it breaks her heart seeing him so vulnerable.

The door to the operating room opened and the doctor delivered the bad news to them. He has never seen his brother cry this hard before. They both hugged each other. On one of the bench, there she noticed Alex's brother who cried on his own.
It will never be the same, now that Alex is gone.

Alex has always been her big sister, they share the same passion for sweets and they were a team when it comes to confectionaries and baked goods. It was just this morning when Alex winked at her when she saw her get her car keys. And now they are in this lifeless corridor, away from the colorful and bright ambiance of their restaurant.
