I remember the feeling we felt, while walking through that doorway. We were both excited and nervous at the same time.
What if we get caught?
What's out there?
Are we going to die?
All these thoughts, and more, were running through my head.
I vividly remember the moment we stepped into the sunlight on the other side of the wall. It wasn't anything like they said it was.
They promised us a vast wasteland; we got plains, and trees, and wildlife.
They promised us death and infection; we got life.
