As a young child it was everyone's dream to become a trainer and to become the best trainer possible or whatever most people want to do, but as of late Michael was getting desperate as he needed a partner to do almost anything here in the Alola region. But he didn't just want any pokemon to be his partner. He was getting behind and he didn't want to work some retail job like many people did. He walked around looking in his bag, he had two pokeballs and he was flat broke. His short brown hair flowing in the warm ocean breeze and his pale white freckled face while he thought, letting out a sigh he began walking. Here on Ula'ula island there were plenty of Pokemon to catch but he was always viciously attacked, he was bad at reading Pokemon but they interested him greatly. He walked down route thirteen the route to haina desert was to his right and straight ahead was tapu village. He walked towards the village but stopped as he heard an interesting story being to to a child.
"In Haina Desert there lives not only the island Guardian but also a dangerous pokemon known as the Savage Gardevoir. She's as powerful as the legendary Mewtwo, her psychic powers even going as far as to create matter from nothing. Thankfully she lives in a cave deep in the desert isolating herself from the world. Her powers are so terrible the the four island deities even struggled to stop her".
The grandfather continued to ramble on with other old stories, but now he wanted to see if there was any truth to these tales. He did thankfully managed to get a map of the desert. Looking around he quickly ran in unaware of how unprepared he was for what was to come, even with the map he was struggling to get through it, his goggles providing his eyes with protection but he wasn't sure where he was anymore and decide to run straight ahead. He gripped after an hour of running, getting up he looked back and saw a fin poking out the sand. Panicing, he got up and sprinted as that was a Gabite, a ferocious ground and dragon type. With their shark like bodies they were excellent swimmers in the sand, knowing this he still ran for dear life as he could hear the sand moving behind him as it gave chase. He was starting to get tired when he came upon a spot were the storm wasn't effecting, but he was still being chased and ran harder after seeing a cave. He was near the entrance when the sand exploded throwing him to his stomach, he turned over as the small creature landed on top of him. It's small appendages on its rounded head, its narrow neck and torso coming to a rounded belly with short stumpy legs, its narrow arms coming out with blade shaped fins on the back side of its singular clawed digit. Its mouth about to chomp down on his face when it looks up seeing something it turns smacking him with its fish tail and dives into the sand as he gives into his exhaustion and passes out.
She looked down at the human that lay before her, she didn't like them as they we're always trying to capture her. She hated the very idea of it all together, but he seemed strange to her. She couldnt figure out why he didnt bring out his Pokemon to defend himself, using her psychic powers she lifted him up and brought him into her home, she didn't like the desert but it was the only way to keep the most average and typical of the humans away. She laid him on her bed made of buneary and furfrou fur, making it very comfortable while she took her Marowak headpiece off, setting it down as her Lycanrock fur coat stayed at her shoulders, turning around she looked like a tribal priestess. Her snow white skin and green hair were perfect while her red crimson eyes explored the mans body trying to figure him out. Snapping Her fingers his backpack landed in her hand and with her psychic powers she pulled everything out and looked at it all: pens, paper, sketchbook, a map, some clothes, two pokeballs, and a pokedex. She opened the two pokeballs and was surprised to find them empty, it made no sense to her as he looked like a good trainer but to not have a pokemon was very strange to her, the thought boggled her mind until she reached out with her hand and places it on his head. She looks into his memories and shocked to see that he never had a pokemon partner and now he needed money to explore the outside world.
