I can't look at the stars, they make me wonder where you are. Stars, up on Heaven's boulevard. And if I know you at all, I know you've gone too far. So I, I can't look at the stars.

For as long as I can remember, I have always had this weird obsession with the sky. I would always look for the moon and stare at the stars. I just think it's the most beautiful thing in the world. You can stare out at the endless starry night sky for hours on end. Pure beauty. It gives me some sort of comfort.

Just imagine, every bright star is a new addition to Heaven. Every dull star is an older addition, but they aren't gone. They haven't burnt out. Dad, you are a bright star. One that God needed up There with him. My great Grandma is a little duller because she has helped God and been with him longer. I just don't think she wanted my Dad up there quite yet. Neither did I. But life isn't fair. "The world is not a wish-granting factory."

I got home from school and started my homework. I did my AP Physics first because well, it's the easiest to me. That and calculus. Face it, I'm a nerd.

Anyways, I hear a knock at the front door. I go down the steps and look through the people. Oh goodness. It's Cameron. He is obsessed with me. Not the cute way. He has a shrine of me in his locker that he kisses everyday. Talk about creepy.

Well, he's standing outside my door with a guitar. He's singing a song that I don't even know.

"Who are you?" I hear a scratchy voice.

Cameron turns around. "Im serenading the most sexy girl in the world." I mentally face-palm myself. Dude back off.

"Um, why?"

"I'm trying to show her that she loves me too."

"Well, if she's not out here swooning over you, I'm pretty sure she doesn't love you. So stop bugging this poor girl and leave." That was harsh but thank God. I hope he scares him away. Who is that anyways?

"Are you gonna make me?"

"No."

"Then I'll stay."

"Suit yourself." Alex says as he pushes past. Why is he here?

"Why are you here?" Cameron says, reading my mind and puffing his chest out.

"I'm delivering something to the lady that lives here. My mom's her friend."

"Don't flirt with my beauty." I roll my eyes.

"Don't worry dude. I will try not to." he smirks and walks over to the door and knocks. I wait a few seconds and fix my hair (I don't even know why) and open the door. Alex looks up my body (perv) and then at my face. He smirks.

"Kylie!" He says and hugs me. I hug him back because I don't know what else to do and he steps back. He motions behind him with his eyes and smiles. He grabs my hand and kisses it. "How are you, love?"

I'm about to say something when Cameron grabs Alex's collar and yanks him back.

"I told you no flirting you ass!" Cameron yells.

"Woah calm down buddy." Alex laughs.

"Yeah Cameron. What are you doing?" I ask.

"I'm showing him who's boss, baby."

"Um, don't call me that." I say with a disgusted face.

"Yeah dude," Alex says. "And I'm pretty sure you're not boss."

"Am too."

"Don't argue with me."

"Don't tell me what to do"

"Calm yourself and leave Kylie alone." Alex says as he rolls his eyes. "Plus get the shit off of me." He yanks Cameron's hand away and points toward the street.

"Don't tell-" Cameron starts.

"I am. So shut up and leave." Alex cuts him off.

"Make-"

"LEAVE!!" Alex and I say at the same time. Cameron starts walking away with his guitar.

Alex turns around with a smirk on his face.

"Hey Baby." He winks at me.

"Okay. You don't call me that either."

"Why not babe?"

"Because I'm not your 'babe'. I'm not even your friend. I'm your acquaintance."

"A very hot one at that." He winks again. Ugh.

"Why are you even here?"

"To hit on you."

"No. Really?"

"To deliver this." He hands me a package that says my mom's name.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome, babe" He winks and starts walking away. I turn to close the door until I hear footsteps.

"Wait!! Kylie!!" Alex says jogging to the door. He hands me a paper with his number on it.

"What do you do? Keep your phone number in your pocket all the time."

"Yeah." He keeps a straight face until a huge grin breaks out on his face. He starts laughing and throws his head back. I have to admit, he's a very attractive guy. His brown hair and blue eyes are perfect. The way he gels his hair into a quiff or whatever. His eyes are so pretty. His smile though, is the best part. His teeth are so white and his smile is so big. It can probably light up New York City at night. Why am I admiring him? He's a douche.

I hear a honk which snaps me out of my thoughts. It's a blonde girl with a very nice red car.

"Oh Alex!! Are we going to your house?" She giggles. Ewh.

"Yeah babe. Be there in a minute."

"Okay." She giggles again. My goodness. Stop!!

"See ya later babe." Alex says as he kisses my cheek. I stand there, startled.

"Bye." I wave and he jogs to his house. He turns around and winks one more time and waves. He makes a motion to text him. I roll my eyes and go inside.
He's so lame.
