after leaving donghyuck genuinely didn't know what to do. he tried to look for a job but they all rejected him after hearing about his situation and about the fact that he's a high school dropout. despite all these hardships donghyuck was happy that his father was too caught up in his new wife's life and didn't care about him. it sounds a little odd saying it out loud but it was true, which child would want their parents to not care for them right?

after wandering for a couple of days, sleeping on park benches and eating off other homeless people donghyuck ended up on a side walk in an abandoned alley. he didn't know if he should be proud of winning this fight against his father and leaving, or if he should be scared that he has to survive all alone with no education, money or anyone he could stay with? despite being free donghyuck was still scared of his father knowing he now ruined his father's perfect husband facade that kyujin was drawn to. it was unfortunate but he had the power to do anything to donghyuck...

despite his fear donghyuck knew he now had to survive on his own. he was on the streets with no food or money or a place to stay. he was incredibly scared, he always thought about leaving but he never thought he would feel so  empty inside, a part of him felt guilty and wanted to return home but he couldn't give up now that he was finally free. he left an abusive home but the fear was still deeply rooted within him.

donghyuck eventually found comfort in the alleyway's side walk and would often sit there and think about his life and what he hopes the future has in store for him. being deep in thought donghyuvk didn't notice two muscular men approaching him with heavy steps. as they got closer donghyuck tried avoiding eye contact as much possible in hopes of making them walk past him. however, before he knew it they were standing right in front of him. "h-hello how c-can i help y-you?" he mutters while slowly lifting his head. the fact that they were wearing suits, and black sunglasses in winter didn't feel quite right, who wear sunglasses in the middle of december?

"you need to come with us" one of them says with an awfully chilling voice. "I-I'm sorry I t-think you might've mistaken me for someone else" donghyuck says in panic before standing up. he tried to sneakily look around to see which way he could run off in in case it was necessary. "don't worry kid, we won't harm you. our boss needs to see you " the same guy from earlier continues. donghyuck notices that the other guy kept quiet all throughout and instead stared at donghyuck intensely. "who is your boss? I know I'm currently homeless but I don't want to die yet " donghyuck said as he watched the men exchange glances. "unfortunately we can't disclose who our boss is quite yet but you have to follow us, we don't mind forcing you into the car either so please cooperate with us" donghyuck doesn't answer and instead continues trying to read the man's facial expressions. "our boss is no stranger to you" he hears a soft whisper. donghyuck quickly raises a brow. "what?" he asks but gets instead stared at by the two men with a blank face. "why'd he whisper that? do I really know him?" donghyuck thinks to himself. after a couple of seconds of silence he continues, "what will I benefit from following your orders? will you pay me? you guys might enslave me for all I know" donghyuck says. he knew his situation didn't look promising and he was very likely to become a victim of any crime and he physically couldn't stand a chance against these men so his only option was to ramble until they leave him alone. the two men looked at each other while practically having a conversation with their eyes, before facing donghyuck once more. "you're really a stupid as the one who raised you" the guy that has been silent up until now speaks. donghyuvk gets caught off guard by the sudden mention of his father and quickly speaks, "what does my father have to do with you?" the men continued staring at donghyuck with an expression he couldn't understand before one starts explaining.
