Chapter song: Home by Daughter

I love this song, it's soft and chill, and it's about the aftermath of a breakup, from the point of view of the person who still loves them and wants things to be how they were before. I definitely see Mina reflected in this song 💕

Three days later

"Hey what's up you guys, yes, welcome back. Today, I'm doing a little something that I have planned for my dear friend Mina, who we are also going to be starting filming with in the next week or so for the new series!" Shane begins his introduction, holding the camera up by himself in a vlog-like fashion.

I'm currently sat on the sofa, nervous but also excited as to what the plan is for today.

I'm happy to be filming a video, as it gives me something else to do other than my recent daily routine that I've gotten into a habit of the past few days.

Wake up, check Instagram, text Jake, get bitter over Taylor and Andrew who just seem to be constantly sharing their life on social media, meet Shane and the others, text Ryan, do nothing all day, go to bed and feel sad, sleep.

A super unhealthy mindset to be in, I recognise that, but I'm no stranger to this kind of empty feeling that I seem to now have constantly. But because this is something that hasn't happened to me since I moved to Calabasas, I think the others are worried about me.

Garrett especially, has been showering me with hugs every so often and at random moments, and his excuse is always "you looked like you needed one". I appreciate the love from my friends, I really do, but one of those friends, the one who's support I could really use, isn't ever here nowadays.

Except for today that is. Andrew has actually managed to peel himself away from his brand new relationship in a promise to Shane that he'll try film today's video. Shane had pointed out at the time, in a rather irked tone, that as his cameraman who gets paid to do it, he kind of hasn't got a choice.

I hadn't been there at the time when Shane had said this, but Morgan had told me exactly how terrifying Shane's voice had been, deathly calm and none of his usual bounce in it.

Andrew loves his job, I know that, so the fact that he'd even say he'd "try" to be there to film is crazy. Normally, he wouldn't even miss a beat in his response to say yes.

Shane points the camera to me. "Are you excited?" He asks in a sing song voice. I giggle, unable to deny that I am genuinely feeling a little bit giddy.

"Yes, but I'm also scared, because last time you surprised me it was with a blind date." I point out, raising my eyebrows as if to say "look how that turned out!", making Shane roll his eyes.

"Hey, at least you got a good friend out of it!" He replies, sounding a little hurt. Garrett now chooses to pipe up.

"And a hot one at that!" He giggles, Shane rolling his eyes once again.

"Can you stop trying to fuck the straight guys in our group?! You're as bad as Morgan!" He gestures to the younger Adams sibling who is sat beside me, happily digging into some Ben & Jerry's. She pauses with the spoon in her mouth, looking awfully guilty at having been caught eating straight from the huge tub.
