Chapter 12

Damien Downs

Damien couldn't stop thinking about Gabrielle since she left abruptly when the plane landed a few days ago.

The police pulled his car out of the Chattahoochee River the day after they landed. He tried to file charges but it was proving difficult due to the fact Mariah's father had powerful connections in the police force.

Mariah was getting bold and Damien could only guess how far she was from being dangerous.

As for Gabrielle, He had tried to call her, even sent flowers to her club. Yet he still hadn't heard from her.

He paced his office as his assistant went over what he had missed while he was away.

"... And Mr Liu will need confirmation to start construction on the new high-rise in Shanghai," Bethany said.

"Mr. Downs are you listening?"

Damien looked up at Bethany. She was pretty, thin frame, large breasts, but she wasn't his type.

She wasn't curvy, she wasn't black, and she wasn't Gabrielle. Not by a long shot.

"Yes, I was listening. Tell Mr. Liu he has the go ahead. This is the last meeting of the day, so I'm going to head out."

"Of course Mr. Downs, if there's anything you need, anything at all, you let me know." Bethany said a little more seductively than usual. She got up from her seat and switched out the room.

Damien shook his head and grabbed his suit jacket and keys.

He knew where he was going, he just had to talk himself into it.

The driver was already in The front as he exited the building.

He gave the driver the address and sat back and put his Air Pods in.

Ab-Soul flooded his ears and he zoned out.

Before he knew it he had arrived.

He went in right past the doorman to the Elevator. He pressed his intended floor and rode it to the top. Damiens mind was set, but his heart was racing. The elevator indicated he had arrived. He exited the elevator and rang the doorbell. He waited for a fee minutes but no answer. He rang again. After waiting for what felt like forever, he felt defeated.

"Damn," he mumbled to himself.

Just as he was about to leave he heard the elevator ding. He turned around and saw who he was waiting for. His heart skipped a beat.

"What do you want?"

Gabrielle Gibson

"Two more days ladies that's all we have and I need y'all to tighten these routines all the way up," Gabrielle said as she watched the last dancer finish her dance.

Gabrielle's body was at work but her mind couldn't stop thinking about Damien. Why did men have to be so stupid?

She sighed as the dancer waited on her to speak.

"The dance was good baby girl, but I really need you to wax boo. If I can see the snatch is hairy from over here imagine when you grinding in a mans face," Gabrielle said more rude than she would have liked.

The girl caught an attitude and left the stage, while the other girls giggled.

"I don't know what y'all giggling for cause at least her routine was solid," Gabrielle sneered.

Gabrielle just shook her head. The migraine she had was intensifying by the minute.

"Terrance, I'm going to call it a day. I need you to watch these ladies work on the routines and call me if there are any issues," Gabrielle shouted over her shoulder.

"Girl I ain't calling you, you in a mood. You a little touched today," Terrance rolled his eyes and went back to typing on his computer.

Before Gabrielle could even snap back at him her phone rang.

Dumb Ass Damien 👎🏾

She rolled her eyes and ignored the call. She made it to the garage and hopped into her Jeep. She hooked up her phone and let Ari Lennox play through the speakers as she entered traffic.

Break me off
And gitchi gitchi yaya
When the lights is out
I'm summertime crushin' put that game on pause
And do it how I like it
Baby, nice and slow.

20 minutes later and she was pulling into her spot at her penthouse. She made it to the elevator while scrolling on IG liking random pictures. The door buzzed indicating it made it to her floor. She walked not looking up as she bumped into someone.

"I am so sor-" she looked up to see Damiens fine ass looking back at her.

Instantly her cheeks got heated.

"Just the sight of this man sets me off," Gabrielle thought.

"What do you want?"

Damien looked up at Gabrielle with the most sincere look.

"I am sorry that I allowed Mariah to ruin our time together. I am in no way still involved with her. I was with you because that is where I wanted to be. Where I still want to be if you will allow me to be," he said with yearning eyes.

Gabrielle studied him for a second. Every hair on her body was on edge. She wanted to pounce on him, yet she felt she couldn't give in that easily.

"One more date," Gabrielle said finally.

Damien sighed not fully happy with her decision but happy she is open him.

"Nothing fancy, You can come here, I'll cook, and we'll have a normal non jet-setting date. Agreed?" Gabrielle stated.

"Agreed." Damien said as he smiled.

"Now um, yea get out of my doorway because technically I'm still mad at you," she said aggressively.

"Yes ma'am," Damien saluted her and flashed his pearly whites.

"Good lord. What am I going to do about him?" Gabrielle thought.

He watched Gabrielle enter her door and as she looked back he blew her a kiss.

Gabrielle smiled from ear to ear as she blew one back and closed the door.

She leaned against the door holding her hand to her chest. She never felt this way when it came to a guy. No one could really give her that butterfly in your stomach feeling, but Damien could.

She went to the bathroom and ran the shower. She needed a cool down and fast. She could tell that Damien was nothing but trouble. Somehow though she was ready for it. Maybe a bad boy is just what I need.
