You woke from your slumber and sighed, sleepily rubbing your eyes and sitting yourself up slowly. You're eyes were still a little hazy, so everything was a little out of focus. It took a couple seconds for your eyes to adjust and then a couple more seconds for you to realize something. This wasn't your room. You blinked in confusion, slowly hanging your legs over the edge of the bed. This definitely wasn't your room. You again looked round the room. Then you spotted the bed. And the person in the bed. The boy in the bed. The blonde spikes, messy and out of shape as he slept peacefully under your watchful eyes. Then you remembered. The storm last night, the pictures, coming back to Roxas'. You remembered everything. You whipped round to look at his digital clock on the desk. You needed to get back home before your parents noticed you gone. But you couldn't just leave, could you? You could try to wake him, but then why would you interrupt the peaceful sleep he was in. He looked really cute when he slept. Shaking your head you got up and grabbed your shoes that were neatly placed by the door and sighed as you stood in the doorway. I can't just leave, you thought guiltily, I have to leave a note or something. You looked to his desk, luckily spotting a piece of paper and a pen. I'll use this. Quickly writing a note, you headed for the door and left Roxas' house silently.
It was a fumble to get your keys from your pocket without making too much noise. If you did, you'd wake your parents and then who knows what your Mother would do if she knew you were out late last night. Luckily getting into the house, you tried your best not to slam shut the door and lock it back up as quietly as you could. Making your way up the stairs was harmless, your stairs didn't make much noise when you went up them and getting into your room and into your bed was easy enough. Mission success you thought happily, closing your tired eyes in hopes of gaining a couple hours more sleep.
"(F/N)!" your eyes wandered open slowly as you groaned in your half awake, half asleep state. It was late in the morning, about 10 o'clock and your Mother was already shouting.
"What do you want?" you mumbled to yourself, getting up slowly and making your way towards the direction if the call. You got downstairs to see your Mother and Father both sitting at the table, your Mother placing a bowl of cereal in front of your Father. you were a little shocked at first, as you saw your parents unusually quiet and not argumentative. But then you remembered what time of year it was. It was nearing your birthday, and your parents always got like this when that happened. They began to get that little bit nicer and kinder, waking you up to a breakfast or a smile. It felt weird seeing them acting this way at first, but you quickly got used to it.
"Morning sweetie." your Father smiled, looking up from the paper he was reading. It sickened you a little to see him acting like that. You'd rather have him slouched over the couch watching the sports channel and a beer in his hand than at the table with a mug of coffee and a paper. And your Mother, she was a charmer. Setting up the table, making breakfast, lunch and dinner, doing the housework, all with a smile. A faked smile. But you supposed it was nice to have them act like this at least when the time needed it. The last thing you wanted was to end up crying on your bed in you room on your birthday.
