The clock ticking sounds really clear in this room. I was so busy working on my papers in order waiting to hear some important messages from Noah.

A couple moments later, when I just sipped my coffee, I hear my phone rang.

"Sorry for making you wait. But, these people were quite mysterious,"

I furrowed my brow, my assumption was right. He isn't an ordinary person. There's no way stranger know your name without knowing you right?

"He was sent by someone who quite dangerous in the town, the name is Monti Mancini. I've checked his background and just found his name only,"

Monti? For unknown reasons, his name sounds familiar to me.

"Thanks for your effort and can you send someone just in case? I have a bad feeling with this guy,"

"Just for a week, we can't spend any more money, bro,"

"I got it, just one month and I'll be back,"

I heard Noah sigh before hung up the call. I closed my eyes than tried to take a rest but abruptly, I waked up.

Someone knocked on my door, I get up and opened the door with full awareness. Some strange guy standing in front of me with a big box that covering almost half of his body.

"For Mr. Sanders?"

I cleared my throat when I heard my pseudonym then take the box anyway. Just when my hand touched cold metal objects under the box, I rejected and throw the box away, "chi ti ha mandato?"

He just standing there pointing the knife in front of my face then roaring like what he doing isn't murder attempt, "Cosa voleva il tuo capo da me?"

He looked lost like a drug user because he just doing nothing but holding a knife with sweat streamed down his forehead, "lui vuole ciò che ami di più,"

He wants what I loved the most? How ridiculous. A second later, the guy was lying on the ground with his hand twisted so that by himself the knife he held was released. He groaned in pain as I whispered in his ear, "says this to your fucking boss, his life is in my hand,"

I didn't let my one minute be wasted when the sound of the door to the next door was opened. I kick his body so he gets out of my grip then disappeared without any noises in the middle of the night.

"Hey, Emma, do you miss me?" I great her trying to distract her.

When the dim lights from the streetlight touching Emma, I can see clearly she rubbed her eyes without anything but her nightgown. Crap! That thin piece of cloth making her look more sensual than ever.

"I'm pretty sure I heard someone cried," her distinctive hoarse voice sounded melodious in my ears make me realize I was staring at her body the whole time

"There's nothing like that besides the inner voice of a man who longs for his woman,"

She chuckled, and I can't help myself to approach her step by step until I was on the porch of her house, "I can't believe you still suck flirting," she stops breathing when I already in front of her.

"You look so damn beautiful, Emma," Her eyes gazing at me with a look implying the same feeling as in my heart right now. I tucked her hair that covering her eyes to the back of her ears. I can feel the desire to kiss her at the moment

Her alluring addictive lips almost touched mine before someone interrupted us

"Emma? Are you okay, dear?"

The heat of desire disappeared along with Emma's auntie coming towards us. Her panic expression just like a teenager caught dating secretly behind the door

"I-I need to go,"

To saw her flushed cheeks before she left was enough to make me have a sweet dream for the rest of my night. I know my decision was right to chase after her.

And I know I got the chance.
