Last night was so hectic. I woke up from my bed and lied there for a little bit to process what happened. All I remember from the party was trying to help Isabella get home and trying to find Alex and Mia and take them home as well. Sadly, it was Alex car so I did not know how I would even get myself home. I mean I should have kept Alex's car at my house. Finally, I get up from my bed and head towards the bathroom in the hallway. I take a quick look at myself and I still looked the same from last night, but with my make up more smeared.
Heading down the stairs, I hear two voices. Obviously my mom, but another female voice. I make all the way down to the living room to see my mom talking to Isabella while Alex and Mia still passed out on the couch.
"Hey sleepy head," my mom greets me.
"Hey, what you two talking about?"
" Oh just how Bella was doing since you know she moved away. Her life has changed so much when I last saw you two together."
I like seeing those two girls happy. My mom likes being the second mother towards Isabella whenever Isabella needs the emotional support. Of course her mother supports her as well but, not as much like my mom. At least from what Isabella would tell me.
"So what are you guys going to do today?"
" I don't know mom, I guess when Alex and Mia finally wake up."
"Why can't you girls hang out like old times? I think it will be a little longer for those two to wake up since you brought them home last night.
I thought about it for a second. I mean Isabella and I can hang for a little bit in my room and we can catch up more about things going on in our lives.
"Alright, but Isabella and I are gonna hang out in my room," I look in Isabella's direction and I cock my head towards the stairs to signal to come upstairs with me.
" Okay, well I'll start making all of you guys breakfast," my mom giving us her heartwarming smile. We turn away heading more up the stairs towards my room.
For some reason awkwardness settled in me and Isabella too. I try to start the conversation.
"Sooo...how's life going for you?"
" Better since I left," she replied coldly.
"Then why did you come back?"
" I have reasons."
"Like what?"
" None of your business," she scolds me.
"Jeez, you don't gotta be rude about it. I've rarely seen you act like this towards me."
" Oh don't act like your special."
I just look at her and slowly turn my head around to stare at my bed to walk towards it to sit down to settle myself down. Isabella walks over to sit next to me surprisingly. I try to think of another topic to ease this more tense atmosphere.
" So what major you decided to study?"
" Psychology, you?"
" Oh cool! I'm trying to pursue art."
" I always knew you would be the artist."
" Well, can I show you one of my art pieces I won in the college's art show last year?"
"Sure."
I get up to walk towards my closet opening the door to find my painting on the floor leaning against the wall. I struggle to pull it out. Finally, I manage to get it out and turn to show Isabella the enormous painting.
" Do you like it? I got inspiration from a dream I had once."
Isabella's Pov
I stare at the painting in awe. The emotion pulled through in Krystal's painting showing a silhouette of a girl or woman staring at this girl on the floor crying covered in red roses all over her body but, the crying girl had no pupils or any iris at all of pure white light. It looked like it happened at night, maybe the silhouette is a ghost or something trying to reach out to the crying girl. However, the only thing creeping me out about the painting being the crying looks almost like crystal herself.
" Do you like it? I got inspiration from a dream I had once." Krystal speaking snapped me out of my thoughts.
"O-oh, yeah it's nice. Was it only once when you had the dream?" I become curious about this painting.
" Well I don't know it's kind of weird, like, Most of the time in my dreams I would be somewhere at night walking and suddenly I just see this bright white light coming towards me. I get this bad feeling in my stomach that this white light is not warm but, feels...cold and when it gets close enough, I automatically wake up from it."
"Interesting." Literally all I could really say.
" Yea, my dreams have never been kind to me which I don't understand. Anyway, lets move on from this. So I heard you talk to my friend Alex since you guys have the same class together, do you like him, I-i mean as a friend?" Krystal puts down the painting to set it against a wall and walks back to her bed to sit next to me.
Alex seems alright but, I can tell he likes me because he would try to flirt whenever we text. The thing is, he is not my "type."
" Yea, he is cool. Just sometimes I wish he took school seriously."
" Don't worry I told him why not drop out but, he is a stubborn boy. Half the time he doesn't know what he wants!"
I slightly giggle at Krystal's comment. I haven't giggled in a while from her since what happened between us when I left high school. My life in general is not the same when I left her.
Before we could talk more, we hear the knock at Krystal's bedroom door.
"Come in!" Krystal shouts to the door.
We see two figures standing at the door being Alex and Mia.
" Hey Krys, your mom said to come get you guys for breakfast." Mia tells us.
" Okay! Lets go Bella."
I follow behind Krystal down the stairs. I miss the smell of her mom's cooking flushing over me and Krystal saying my nickname, 'Bella.' Hate to admit when looking at the girl, I smiled a little to myself since it was a long time when she called me that and I miss it more.
