It was 10pm and they had been in the recording studio since 8 this morning, everyone was getting tired but if they wanted to make the deadline they were going to have to work late.
Stevie was trying desperatley to finish getting her vocals on a track finished up but all she was thinking about right now was how tired she actual was, out of nowhere a voice abruptly snapped her out of her thoughts of tiredness
'Why have you stopped singing? Come on were on a tight schedule here' the voice didn't sound nice or calm, but she had gotten used to hearing it from Lindsey of late.
'Sorry Lindsey look I'm just so tired can't we finish tomorrow?' she said in a tone that meant she really didnt want to argue tonight
'No we cannot finish tomorrow! We need this done as soon as possible, so just stop thinking about how 'tired' you are, and put some effort into this!' the last part was shouted to her, only then did she realised that the whole room had gone deathly quite, she felt her whole face light up, and the tears that were now stinging her eyes
She looked at him with complete and utter hurt in her eyes, 'Forget this' she stated and took her headphones off, grabbed her purse and flew out of the studio. The rest of the room just stood there in complete silence after witnessing what had just gone down. Lindsey closed his eyes 'Shit', why on earth had he just spoken to Stevie that way, she hadn't done anything wrong, so he needed to go after her and go after her now before she left.
He found her in a room a few doors down, she was obviously trying to compose herself before walking out through security, so he walked in, he winced at the fact he saw her tense as soon as she spotted him.
'Stevie' he tried
'No, don't you dare, how could you speak to me like that, in front of everyone, you just completely humiliated me do you know that?
She didn't wait for him to respond, 'I'm a professional Lindsey, I'm not some rookie you can just shout at whenever you please, it doesn't work like that with me!'
'I know I'm sorry' he said truthfully
'No you’re not sorry at all! You've been like this with me for weeks now, barely speaking to me, and when you do speak to me you talk to me like you really don't even want to give me the time of day!'
she couldn't stop the tears flowing freely now, 'I never expected you of all people to ever treat me like that, not after what we've been through, god you must really hate me!'
he realised now by looking at her how much he had just hurt her, it made him angry because he'd said to himself he would never do that to her again. What was she talking about, of course he didn't hate her, the woman in front of him who was sporting a tear stained face was the love of his life, and he hated himself for knowing that the tears were there because of him.
'I don't hate you Stevie, not at all'
'Well then' she scoffed, I would hate to see how you were with me if you did hate me!' she grabbed her coat and tried to walk past him, but he grabbed her arm
'Don't touch me' she spat and struggled in his grasp
'Stevie just listen' he tried to reason
'No why should I?' she struggled again but he was much to strong
'Because I love you!' he rushed her backwards until her back hit the cupboard behind her and then crashed his mouth down onto hers, she couldn't think, she hated herself for it but she did what came naturally to the man that she undoubtedly loved to, she responded, it lasted a few more seconds until her senses came flying back like a bullet, she pushed him away and moved past him
'Why do you always think that doing that is going to make it all better huh? she asked more as a rhetorical question than anything else, she needed to get away from him before she gave in completely, so she left him standing in an empty room by himself, all he could do was think one thing to himself 'God your an idiot Lindsey!'
Thank you for reading, I know there is probably gramatical errors, but hey no ones perfect.
