The Walrus and the Mammoth met at 7:30 on the Miami tracks
The Walrus hitched a ride on the Mammoth's back for a final act
A quarter to sundown, the night had given away
To a starlit night of endless sights and sounds
Endowed with brilliant streaks of crimson rounds
Darting across the sky in a majestic neon flight
While blanketed streams of fractured lakes and rivers pool around
At sunbreak, the Mammoth came to The Silver Plate
A magnificent place made of shining gray slates
The waiters filled their glasses with plastic champagne
Lighting matches for their strawberry birthday cake
Later they received a series of well-done steaks
