Emmanuella's POV
We arrived at Demi's house. I probably looked crazy because my mouth was hanging open and my eyes were wide. There was a really big driveway leading to a huge house. It was more than half of the size of the orphanage. It was gorgeous and I couldn't wait to see the inside of it. A big yard was in front of and on the both sides of the house with lots of trees and flowers so I guess there is no back yard but this looks really amazing.
We entered the house and my mouth fell even more. I didn't think that was possible. Demi kept chuckling at my reactions. You would look crazy too if you lived in a small house for the most of your life and shared a bedroom with your three siblings, then got sent to an orphanage where you shared a tiny bed with your sisters. So when I say this house was huge, it's an understatement of a century. What does Demi do for a living if she can afford this house and that car and everything?
There was a hallway on the right and one more that went straight ahead from the door. The huge stairs that lead to the first floor made me dizzy by even looking at them. Maybe I can sleep on the couch so I won't have to go up them. We walked down three steps and entered what I think was a living room. It was cream colored with a huge stone fireplace. Above the fireplace there was a really big thin screen I don't know what for. There were big long grey couches on both sides of the coffee table that faced each other. There were big windows all around the room and the view was really amazing. It really felt comfortable here. Like a real home.
Demi put her bag on the coffee table and sat down with Rosalie who was just starting to wake up. Annabelle and I were standing there still looking around with wide eyes. Demi chuckled again and spoke.
''Do you like your new home?'' She asked us. Is she kidding right now? I don't like it. I love it. But I can't love it too much because I know it will get taken away from me. Nothing is permanent. Demi will get sick of me pretty soon and she'll take me back to the orphanage so I can't let myself like it too much or get used to it.
''Yes. It big.'' Annabelle answered excitedly.
''Yeah it is. Come sit down.'' She said and Annabelle let go of my hand and walked over to Demi who helped her up on the couch and kissed her head.
''Emmanuella?'' Demi looked up at me expectantly.
''It's amazing.'' I breathe out and shift from one leg to another.
''Relax sweetie. Come sit down with us.'' She said and I nod walking over and sitting next to her. She scoots closer to me and wraps her arm around me.
''I know the change is a bit scary but you'll get used to it pretty soon. And I know you'll love it. I love you, baby girl. So so much.'' She says to me in a soft tone and it immediately calms me down. I nod again and she kissed my cheek.
''Ok, how about we have dinner and I'll show you guys around? Are sandwiches for dinner okay?'' Demi asked and Annabelle and I both nod. I'm surprised. Is she going to let me eat?
We followed her to the dining room. We walked from the living room up the three steps and there was a big table and chairs around it. Also windows covered most of the wall. The dining room lead to a beautiful black and white kitchen. There was a hallway leading out of the kitchen and I saw the front door when I looked through it. So the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and a hallway are making a big circle. It was beautiful.
Demi helped both Annabelle and me to sit at the table. These chairs were really big and I couldn't climb up on them on my own.
''Can you hold her just while I make dinner? It won't be long.'' Demi asked me. I nodded and she placed Rosalie between my legs and I held her.
