"Wait, so Tommy is the lead in Grease the musical at school?" Y/N sat with her laptop in front of her, cuppa tea in her hands and her mum on the screen. It wasn't often that she could have a proper catch up with her parents, so while Harry nipped to the gym for an hour she opened her laptop and Facetimed them, only to remember that her dad was working so couldn't chat.
"He is!" Her mum chimed with a smile identical to her daughter's. "Oh please tell me that you'll come up and watch it. He'd be so sad if his number one fan weren't there." Y/N couldn't remember the last time she had been to see her family, and she loved watching her brother perform in his shows so it would be nice to see her family.
"I'll see if I can get the day off. When is it?" Y/N took a sip of her coffee and flicked her attention to the TV which played What A Girl Wants quietly before focussing back on her mum who sat with her own cuppa.
"July 23rd." she checked the calendar on her phone and nodded with a satisfied hum.
"I think I've got that day off anyway but I'll ask Nancy about letting me have a long weekend. Haven't used many holiday days this year. I might even see if Harry fancies tagging along."
She could see the excitement in her mum's eyes when she mentioned Harry and instantly regretted it as she was about to be asked a thousand questions about him.
"Oh, that'd be wonderful! How is he? Is he good?" Y/N nodded, bringing her cuppa up to her lips to sip it. "It'd be lovely to finally meet him and not just over the computer, you know?"
Y/N had told her parents about Harry a few weeks after she had met him and throughout their friendship, if she was on the phone to them, Harry would pop on screen and say hi and chat with them for a bit. It was nice, knowing that Harry liked her parents and that her parents liked Harry. Some of the pressure was relieved and even though it took a bit of convincing for Riley to not be ridiculously mad that her sister who "doesn't even bloody fangirl over him" got to date him when she did, it had been smooth sailing.
"He's good. Sends his love. And it would be nice for you to meet him properly. I'll let him come say hi if he's back from the gym soon."
"Oooh, is he at your flat?" Y/N shook her head no, explaining to her mum that he had spent the night because he'd been out with some friends and didn't want to drive home. To which her mum raised her brows. "I see, he stayed the night." She air quoted her last words leaving Y/N rolling her eyes.
"He literally got back at like 1 am. I let him in, I climbed into my bed and he joined me. We didn't wake up until nine because I had work."
"Whatever you say, darling."
Just as Y/N was about to say something, her front door opened and Harry walked in, a light sheen of sweat covering his body. Though he still wore a beanie atop his head. When he saw her on the sofa he walked over to her and kissed her cheek.
"Hey, angel. 'M gonna go shower real quick if that's cool?" She nodded around a smile, trying to ignore the knowing smirk on her mother's face.
"Course! You know where the towels are. 'M gonna cook pulled pork fiesta bowls for dinner if that's okay, gorgeous?" Harry nodded profusely, licking his lips and feeling his belly grumble at the thought of food. "I've got mum on Facetime at the minute!"
"Hey, Audrey! How is everything?" Harry let himself fall onto the sofa next to Y/N, squeezing his face onto the screen and smiling his big smile.
"Hi, sweet boy! I'm good, thank you, how are you?"
"I'm glad to hear you're good. I'm really good, thank you. Though I should probably go and get this shower before your daughter berates me for making her sofa stink." He chuckled before bidding his farewell to Audrey and walking through to the bathroom, making sure to wiggle his bum seductively at Y/N who threw one of the cushions at him.
