Night

It's the year 2033;after the Great Rains have passed

Shafts of moonlight painted the forest floor, as little flickering lights of green, blue, and purple fell out of the trees,only to dance in the silver light. Two shadows moved silently about in the brush.

A pair of green eyes emerged from the undergrowth into the clearing."Savorymist, Wait for me!"meowed another pair of green eyes as she also emerged from the brush, trying to catch her breath. Savorymist;a silver spotted Egyptian Mau a single orange tiger lily near her ear, slowed her pace as she waited for her friend to catch up. "Hurry Orchidlight. it's just up the hill." meowed Savorymist urgently flicking her tail upwards.

Orchidlight;a light grey she-cat with  pink dye on her tail and on the bridge of her nose, two dark blue and pink orchids adorned her head and a single black feather tied around her neck; as she nodded in acknowledgment trotted past her and climbed up the hill. Savorymist followed behind bounding the hill quickly, as the two of them disappeared into the brush again only to emerge into another small clearing with the distant sound of water.

"You're late."meowed a deep voice, echoing in the darkness.They looked up to see a dark figure nimbly bound out of the treetops and land in front of them.

"Sorry Night. I was tending to Lashtail's wounds when you summoned me."she meowed truthfully. Earning a nod from the black male;a moon jewel embedded in his chest glowing  faintly and three golden engraved bands around his paws and a golden feather around his neck as he touched noses with them as the memory of sending a messager drone that looked like an orb with wings and a glowing middle, much like a firefly's structure."It's fine,"he meowed flickering his tail, signaling them to follow him. A tiny floating orb that made tiny humming sounds  following his every move. "Follow me."

Savorymist could hear the faint drops of water as they entered into a sandy clearing. They followed Night until they came to a small waterfall, the moon reflection wavering on the waters surface. She recognized this place as the Pool of Stars and Dreams ;where an ancient place like this only healers come to speak with Night who offered advice and also lived here as this place was near the crystal forest.

Night touched the mirror- like surface of the water with the tip of his nose "Look." he mewed as the waters surface gushed and  rippled with colors of sorts merging into one image "It's her, that's my daughter!" Orchidlight meowed happily as the image was of her daughter, her fur shone like lava.

Orchidlight's eyes widened in awe as she watched the images of her daughter play fight with her friends and the cat she recognized as Kasper."So it's decided then," meowed Night in agreement with Orchidlight."It's time for her to come home."

They both nodded in agreement as the images on the water distorted back into nothingness.
