That night, Charlotte edited the footage to make it look like Cartman had a crush on her instead of Kyle. Her intentions were to show the footage to Kyle, so that he could never know of Cartman's crush on him, so that way, she could make it look like Cartman was trying to steal Charlotte away from him. This would surely get Kyle pissed, and then he would never love Cartman. Charlotte was really good at editing for her age, as her uncle was a graphic designer who taught her how to edit. When she was finished editing, she yawned and laid down on her bed.

"Cartman was trying to break us up!" Charlotte sniffled. These words enraged Kyle. "He what?" Kyle growled. Kyle had decided to visit Charlotte's house before school started, and the news he got gave him the urge of nothing more than to punch Cartman in the face. "I overheard him in his house, and... sniff... he was talking with his stuffed frog about how he loved me and how he wanted to break us up! It's awful!" Charlotte cried. "I even have proof of it!"
"Show me." Kyle was intent on hearing just what the fatass had said. And to think he hugged him just yesterday. Eric was nothing more than a betrayer and a liar. Charlotte turned on her computer and showed Kyle the edited footage of Cartman's conversation with Clyde Frog. What Kyle heard pissed him off. "Well, maybe you should sabotage them. Get them to break up. Make it look like Kahl was cheating on her. Pretend to be the caring friend who understands her, and then eventually, she might love you back." Kyle didn't need to see any more of this footage. He noticed how some of the parts seemed kind of choppy and cut out, but he was too pissed to care. Later, at the bus stop, Kyle threw a punch to Cartman's face. Cartman staggered back, wiping blood off his nose, and exclaimed, "Kahl, what the fuck!"
"You know exactly 'what the fuck'! You were trying to break me and Charlotte up, weren't you?!" Kyle yelled.
Cartman looked surprised, his face red. And then he shouted, "How the fuck would you know that?!"
"Charlotte overheard your conversation with your stupid frog! You left the window open!" Kyle yelled back. "I know all there is to know!"
"All there is to know?" Cartman's face was deep red now, and he turned his back on Kyle. "Yeah, I know you were trying to steal Charlotte away from me! You said you would make it look like I was cheating on her!"
This tiny detail made Cartman turn around, confused. "I said I would make it look like Charlotte was cheating, not you..." Cartman was puzzled.
"This footage proves otherwise!" Kyle shouted. He had saved the footage on his iPhone, and he showed Cartman the edited version of the recording. Cartman was outraged when he saw the edits. "THIS WAS EDITED!" Cartman screeched. "NO IT'S NOT! CHARLOTTE WOULD NEVER LIE TO ME!" Kyle screamed back. But he was beginning to have doubts. He noticed how some of the recording seemed to be cut off, and replaced with other words. "WELL SHE VERY OBVIOUSLY JUST DID!" Cartman yelled at Kyle. "WELL, EVEN IF IT WAS EDITED, WOULD IT MATTER?! YOU'RE STILL TRYING TO BREAK US UP! WELL GUESS WHAT?! IT WON'T WORK!" Kyle shouted so loudly the neighbors could probably hear him. And with that, Cartman stormed off away from the bus stop. Kyle swore he could hear Cartman's ragged breathing, followed by a sniff. "Fatass is gonna miss the bus." Kyle rolled his eyes. But deep down, he felt a little bad. He didn't know what parts would have been edited, but Cartman seemed to be upset over these minor details. Why would it even matter anyways? What would Charlotte gain out of editing a few details? Whatever the reason, Kyle felt bad for possibly making Eric cry. He eventually was able to shake away the guilt. That fat piece of shit just tried to dupe him out of a relationship! Kyle would never forgive him for this.

Cartman was running now, crying. He didn't have any specific destination. He just wanted to get as far away from Kyle as possible. Sure, it was a relief that Kyle didn't know of his feelings for him, but he also knew that if he ever confessed to Kyle now, he would not be taken seriously and immediately rejected. Rejection was always Cartman's worst fear. That was why he never confessed to Kyle. His father did not want him. It hurt more than words could describe.
When Cartman finally found a place to sit, he sat down and let out a long, shaky sigh. After 30 minutes of sitting, Eric finally felt a little better. He had definitely missed the bus, sure. But he would sort this out.
