With all their pretty little faces
And all their pretty little lies
Let's all fake a smile
And parade them down the street
Remember all our manners
All our "please"s and "thank you"s
Don't forget to greet
Every person you meet
Be nice
Whether you want to or not
Give compliments
Whether you mean them or not
We're all afraid to tell
What's on our minds
The truth always hurts
So why not more pretty little lies?
They'll flush our worries
And drown our sorrows
Bury our originality
Crush our individuality
But we don't care
We fake it for our benefit
We just want to fit in
And be accepted
The world has stopped in time
Everything is slow motion black and white
Hurry hurry!
We've got to paint ourselves grey
We don't want to have color
We don't want to stand out
We just want
To blend in with the crowd
Everything is fucked up
But we won't admit it
We glue a smile onto our face
Pretend everything is okay
Act like someone we aren't
We're all just dolls
With our glass eyes and plastic faces
We know how to play it cool
We don't care what it takes
Or how many lies we need to tell
But as long as we get our way
Nothing matters
We just want to be loved
Just want to fit in
Don't want to be the outcast
Don't want to be alone
So tell me
Isn't it wonderful to be a doll?
