You knew it was gonna happen eventually, don't even lie.

         Spain x Reader.

If this goes well I may turn this into a very short book,  but you guys will just have to tell me.

Anyway.

You, dear reader, are a very hard worker when it comes to family. After all, you work in one of the best family run dinners in Madrid. Being the young mature woman that you are, you tend to get cat called and tend to deal with quite the few flirtatious persons. However, not just anyone can claim your heart of gold.

Well, Except maybe a tall old friend, aggravation of a personification of a country.

That one will do it just right.

Enjoy~ (Oh no, not the squiggly line - )

(Y/N) P.O.V

I huffed softly, moving some hair out of my face.  It was already getting to be thirty degrees celsius and it's only eight in the morning.  Looking up at the early morning sky I couldn't help but smile.

“ Hija mía, nunca dejas de sorprenderme! ”

I turned around to look at my father. He looked good for his age, and was keeping himself together well, even after mom's passing.

“ Gracias papa. ”

Cooking had always been his passion, he loves to be able to provide for others, and he does that same thing every day, and has for the last sixty seven years.

Of course I'm not the only child.  I do have two older sisters. We all love this place equally, it's our home away from home.

I chuckled and tied my apron around my hips. Thank god papa doesn't have a strict uniform or dress code, if we had anything like they do in America, I'm sure one of us would be having a heat stroke at least twice a week. I flipped the sign to show we were open and went back to get things ready.  I started the coffee pot and listed as guests walked in. We always opened early, some of dad's old friends liked to stop by and chat for a bit over Cafe y huevos, and they did as they do every morning.

It was a slow morning but soon, the people came in.  I happily served customers and happily held conversations with a few people that I knew. Surprisingly, my hips were only grabbed once, but that is to be expected with the local gang that tends to stop by every so often. I'd be more shocked if it didn't happen.  Even so, no one had the same effect as he did, And no I'm not talking about anyone in the gang.

I couldn't help but start to day dream as I cleaned a few dishes and glasses. It had been a while since I'd seen him last but each time he left, it always got harder. I knew he wasn't the sit around type,  even in our teenage years he wasn't,  but I couldn't stand to admit it to myself that I liked him.  Let alone loved him.

“ ¿Pensando en él de nuevo? ” I was snapped out of my day dreams as I heard my oldest sister teasingly whisper into my ear.  I wasn't going to lie it scared me for a second.
“ ¡Cállate! Y no ... no estaba... ”

She only chuckled,  “ You can't lie to me, (Y/N). But hey, maybe he'll stop by.  ”
“ I doubt it, besides, why would he want to come back here? ”

She only shrugged and walked out of the kitchen to take more orders. I continued to clean for a little bit before papa came to take over so I could help (Y/S/N) out.  I took a second to look at the clock to find that it was already getting to be five in the evening.  I sighed softly and proceeded to go sit out at the bar for a moment pouring myself a glass of (Y/F/D) before I actually sat down.  It was nice to take a break every once in a while.  Luckily hardly anyone was here, just a few bikers and a few tourists. They stayed for a little bit but it wasn't long before they all left, and it wasn't long until the sound of another bike pulled up, and the sound of the door open.  I'm sure I'd be the one to help the last few guests, and I was fine with that. I was about to turn around until I felt a pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around my stomach and pulled me back into someone's chest.

“ Buenas noches, Señorita. ”

I stiffened but soon relaxed as the the smell of gasoline, cigarettes,  and vermouth wrapped me up in a second hug and a soft blush came sprinting across my face.

“ Hello to you too, Spain. ”

I felt my blush darken as the country behind me nuzzled his face into my shoulder.

“ It's been a while, hasn't it? ”

I only gave him a look as a small, light hearted smirk came across my face.

“Shouldn't you be in Costa Blanca by now, Señor? ”

“ Without you? Nunca en un millón de años, querida. ”

I simply rolled my eyes until I felt soft butterfly kisses crawl up my neck.

“ Sabes que no puedo estar lejos de ti.. ”

I smiled moving a bit in his grasp so I could turn around to face him.

“ Is that what you say to all your female friends, cabrón? ”

He looked a little surprised to say the least. It was only a playful statement but the look on his face, he seemed almost hurt.

“ No, though it is flattering that you think I get around so well, the only woman I want in my life is you. ”

It was now my turn to look shocked.  Sure, everytime he came to visit we'd mess around for a little bit, heaven knows I'm far from innocent, but this was different.

I looked him in the eyes and saw the love and admiration, a look that he only seemed to have when he was with me.  I watched a smile come to his face as he placed a hand against my cheek

“ Entonces, mi amor, ¿te quedarás conmigo? ”

I had fought with it so long, and now I couldn't believe it.  I couldn't help myself as I grabbed the man in front of me by the front of his shirt and pulled him into a gentle yet loving kiss.  After a few seconds we pulled away, the yellow on his face had turned almost orange as he proceeded to look at me.

“ So should I take that as a yes? ”

I looked over to see papa, the biggest smile on his face as he nods in approval.  I smiled before looking up at Spain and nodded.

“ With you? Any day mi amado.  ”
