"Oh yeah, our last time seeing each other" he murmured.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Nothing", he shook his head.

He seemed to be getting upset so I tried to change the topic, "did you happen to receive my dad's gift yet?" He nodded and said, "your father is amazing, he gifted us two of his new cars. We posted it online to our fans, did you see it?" I shook my head.
He told me to go on Instagram to see the photo, and I gladly did. They posted it one week ago and had over a million likes for it.

"You don't follow us on Instagram?" he pouted. I nervously said "no". He then took my phone and pressed the blue icon, "now you do".
I grabbed my phone back and said, "I was going to do it, but you practically ended up doing it for me". He placed his right elbow on top of the table and rested his head on his palm to say, "wait, what about V live? I posted a video where I played music and showed off my new shirts. I ended up recommending the song you sang".
"You... recommended the song? Did you like it?", he nodded and then it reminded me of the video Namjoon took. I fakely coughed and asked, "what about that embarrassing video of me singing to that song? Did you also post that? You seriously annoyed me that day, and I can't believe I ruined the song by singing it with my voice. Gosh if Han Dong Geun saw me, he would barf and~".
He stopped me from talking and said, "But you sang it beautifully, I could watch you sing all day, and never get tired from it". I looked at him surprised. His low husky voice gave me the chills. He began to smile and tilt his head to the side whilst continuing to stare at me, it made my heart flutter.
Oh my, what's wrong with me? I need to stop staring back. Why do I feel trapped?
His alluring gaze bewitched me. I bet this was the last time I would see him this close and next to me. I didn't want to stop, I didn't want to bypass this moment. In this night, we looked at each other blissfully. He was so flawless and perfect in my eyes, it frustrated me to see that I might never see him again, that I wasn't as welcoming towards him, and how I didn't get to know him better.
Taehyung saw the time on my phone and stood up, "Y/N I will be leaving now, it's getting late. I promise to see you once again".
I was confused by his certain approach and replied, "okay. Goodbye Taehyung". He walked backward and waved goodbye to me before turning and making his way to the exit. He left me unsettled with his promise.
Suddenly my phone buzzed, I grabbed it and saw I had received a message.

"Pfft", I say after reading the message, "is he checking to see if I'm coming to the birthday party so early?"
Soon I replied 'maybe', I waited for him to read it.
I saw that he was calling me.
I didn't answer it and ended up blocking his number since it wasn't on private.
Never again. Thank goodness it's a masquerade party, it might be difficult for him to see me if I'm wearing a mask.
After a while, Hyun Ae started to get up. She was sober and asked, "what's the time Y/N?".
"Finally you're awake! I seriously want to leave. It's 8:50 pm right now. Shall we go?" I replied. She nodded, collecting two white chocolate sprinkled cake pops off the table, ready to leave with me.
I ended up driving us home, Hyun Ae was exhausted and was sleeping in the car. I was listening to smooth jazz and hip hop lofi music that I usually listened to whilst I studied, it was peaceful and it helped me relax.
I arrived at my house 25 minutes after dropping Hyun Ae at her place. Whilst running to my room, I took a long shower. Thinking about tonight, he said he will be meeting me again. How was he going to do that? And he even promised me?
I sighed and tried to stop overthinking. As I let the warm water fall onto my body, I imagined all my stress being washed away and sinking down the drain.
