.Naoko stirs her tea while listening in on the news. A small smile forms on her lips as she averts her attention to a pile of books she just finished reading for the day. The books were bought by a close friend of her brother, Naomasa Tsukauchi, whom she called Tsuka-nii since she was a child. Said detective was sitting beside her, focusing intently on the information he gathered on his tablet.
She gigged lightly when his face contorted in an annoyed pout. Deciding to turn off the tv, she carries all her books and went to put them back on the bookshelves.
The books, along with the television hanging on the wall, her phone, and her brother's laptop, were her only source of entertainment aside from tending to her garden, cooking, and brewing tea. She never stepped out of the large house, said action was a rarity she often labeled as a luxury for someone like her.
Due to her brother's busy schedule, he could only manage to come home once a month, and when he does, she'd pamper him and make sure he'd use the time to rest. So bonding with him was a huge no-no in her book, since he always came home with little energy and sleep. She'd rather have him healthy and bright than tired and dull.
Tsukauchi decided to live with her when she turned eight, knowing that a child in her shoes must at least have someone to talk to or bond with. Though he often can't come home due to big projects and missions, whenever he comes home, he'd step inside to see her waiting for him at the doorstep with a welcoming smile.
She was too mature and independent, it honestly scared him how she never rebelled against her brother's decisions and rules. She never stepped out of the grounds of her home. She never had social interaction on any social platforms. She didn't laze around. She was so obedient, it attracted concern from his own sister who straight-up asked him if Naoko was an adult with a child-transformation quirk.
After several confrontations from his sister, he eventually introduced her to Naoko. He was honestly surprised to witness Naoko getting excited to meet Makoto, it filled him with a lot of guilt. Naoko didn't deserve this isolated lifestyle, she deserved none of it! And yet, she wasn't the least fazed by it.
