beside you kuroo tetsurou [ ✓ ]

a rainy wednesday morning

"i knew it was gonna rain," you sighed, staring at the window where droplets of rain were falling against. the sound was repetitive and had the potential to lull you to sleep, especially in the arms of kuroo, but you were quite bummed about the rain making it seem not so peaceful.

you had woken from the loud thunder of the rainstorm this morning and of course kuroo was still sound asleep beside you. it was as if even the craziest of storms couldn't wake him up; he was probably dreaming himself in a tropical island. you wished you were there too. not his dream in particular but a warmer place. yesterday was a good day and it'd be nice to have the same kind of weather and potentially spend a day out with kuroo. after all, it has been a while since you two did anything outside.

a sigh left your lips and you stirred, adjusting your body so that your back was towards kuroo.

from this movement, he woke up and brought his arms around you, tugging you closer to his chest. "don't go," he mumbled, nuzzling his face against your shoulder, "i'm still cold."

you scoffed lightly, rolling your eyes at him. of course he woke up because you moved and not from the booming thunder outside. the weather was raging outside and he was woken up by a slight adjustment of your body. "you truly are a weirdo," you mumbled, letting him snuggle up against you.

he hummed. "yeah whatever. it's raining right?"

you hummed back.

"let's stay in bed. rain means cuddling." he yawned. "netflix and sleep?"

you pondered for a moment, wanting to decline the offer but ultimately couldn't. kuroo didn't like being out in the rain so your chances of spending the day outside wasn't high. plus, even the rain and gloominess outside made you tired. "i dunno," you told him softly, adjusting your body to let him hug you. he rested his head against your chest and smiled to himself as you wrapped an arm around him and mindlessly played with his hair.

"what's up, baby?" he asked softly, "did you wanna do something else?"

"yeah, i wanted to go outside... but it's raining..." you glanced outside. "quite hard actually."

kuroo hummed, fighting a yawn. "well, if it lets up, we can go out. or if it doesn't, i can drive you around. but the sound of hydroplaning isn't all that nice."

you rolled your eyes. "just tell me you don't wanna go outside. stop making lame excuses."

he chuckled and pushed himself up, only hovering over you slightly. there was a smile present on his lips, his expression mixed with mischief and consideration. you were unsure whether to see it as a sweet thing from him. "what about i make us breakfast and then we can cuddle and binge (fav show)." he sat straight and stretched his arms. "it's even. i wanna cuddle and instead of watching what i want, we watch what you want, hun."

"i said i wanted to go outside."

kuroo scrunched his nose cutely. "we can watch a nature documentary of your choice?"

"i hate you."
