The new beginning

As Tiffany walked towards us ,I could feel all my insecurities rush up to me faster than a ballon deflating. "Well,hello there, my name is Tiffany , I don't think I've seen you around," she said while taking in Mauricio. "Yup,Im new here, but I'm actually busy right now so if you don't mind.....",Mauricio said. The look she gave him was priceless , then she nodded and walked away, but I knew this wasn't the end of it.

As the day wore on ,Mauricio seemed to be a lost little puppy always following me an just being a little more than clingy. But, what could I say he was new and I wasn't that mean to just ditch him. As we reached lunchtime he asked me,"So, where will we be sitting today," and I guess I must have given him a very odd look because he quickly said," oh, nevermind I'm sure you must have plenty of friends to hang out with no need for me to be your burden today." "Actually, I said, "I usually sit alone or go to the outside patio where there is hardly anybody at lunch." "Oh, he said well would you mind if Isat with you today, being that I'm new and all." Man this boy is really killing me today , I thought. "Ok,if you want," I replied as nicely as I could.

"so tell me, why are you always so quiet," he asked. Damn it's time for the loaner speech, I'm really not up to do this today.
