Soundwave's Choice

General Narration

Soundwave: "I'm so glad you're ok."

Jasmyn: "Dad while is was unconscious, I saw mom. What was her name?"

Soundwave: "Ria?"

Jasmyn: "Yeah."

Soundwave smiled under his visor as Jasmyn mentioned her mother.

Soundwave: "You look just like her."

Jasmyn: "Really?"

Soundwave nodded in affirmation. Jasmyn smiled and looked down.

Soon enough the other Autobots came in along with the the children. They all sighed in relief.

Donna, Kimberly, & Briana: "JASMYN!"

Donna, Kimberly, and Briana ran up to Jasmyn, tackling her to the ground as she barley got up. She grunted in pain, but then laughed.

Jasmyn: "Hey guys."

Donna: "I'm so glad you're OK."

Kimberly: "Do that again and I'll have your tentadrills on a sling."

Briana: "I was so worried."

Jasmyn: "I'm sorry I caused you guys to worry."

Donna: "Don't do it again."

The four girls embraced each other as tears fell from their eyes. Anthony, Jacob, and Joshua then came up and interrupted.

Anthony: "Hey forget about us?"

Jacob: "Yeah I mean what are chopped liver?"

Joshua: "Don't we get a hug of relief?"

The boys said in tears as they came up to the girls.

Jasmyn: "Aww you guys."

Jasmyn hugged them all as more tears came out. The Autobots and Soundwave all stood there watching them.

Soundwave: "The way humans are will always remain a mystery to me."

Optimus and Ratchet came up behind him and placed a hand on either of his shoulder. Optimus chuckled.

Optimus: "The human spirit never ceases to surprise me."

Ratchet: "Mysterious, but Brave."

Soundwave: "I see."

Alpha Trion then came up and looked down at the children.

Alpha Trion: "The humans may be small, but they are strong."

Soundwave P.O.V

What was this I was feeling. Somehow I felt at home. No it couldn't be.

Soundwave: "Jasmyn?"

Jasmyn: "Yeah?"

Soundwave: "I must take my leave now."

Jasmyn: "What? You're not staying here? Why not?"

I sighed and activated my holoform.

Jasmyn P.O.V

I was surprised my dad had a holoform considering he was a deception. He was muscular. He wore a purple pullover, black blants, and fully black converse. His hair was black with purple highlights. He had violet eyes. He came up to me and hugged me tightly. I hugged back as I began to cry even more.

Soundwave: "Jasmyn, you know I love you. And you know that I would like for you to be with me. But you're place is here. With the Autobots. A place I do not belong."

I was about to protest, but Optimus beat me to it.

Optimus: "Soundwave, every sentient being is capable of change. Even Megatron himself."

Soundwave (robotic form) turned to Optimus and sighed.

Soundwave: "Optimus I-

I was about to protest, but then Alpha Trion came up and raised his hand silencing me.

Alpha Trion: "Soundwave is it? What Optimus is attempting to say is, you do not have to be evil, when you can have the chance to fight against it and bring peace to this world."

Optimus: "What I am really trying to say is.......Would you like to join the Autobots?"

Soundwave P.O.V

I couldn't believe what Optimus had asked me. A small part of me wanted to leave and never return. But a larger part wanted to stay. Stay to look after Jasmyn, to bring peace at last. I thought to myself for a moment, thinking Why should this world suffer for our war. I (holoform) looked down at Jasmyn who I still held in my arms. She looked up at me with a big smile. I smiled back and (robotic form) turned back to Optimus.

Soundwave: "I have realized, that this world and inhabitants should not suffer for our war. So I accept your proposition. I accept being an Autobot. For Jasmyn. For this world."

Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee came up to me with serious faces that soon turned into smiles. Bulkhead came up to me and embraced me with a hug picking me up off the ground. Bumblebee merely punched my shoulder and nodded.

Arcee: "Welcome to the family, Sound."

Soundwave: "Thank You Arcee."

Arcee nodded with a smile. (Holoform) I looked back down at Jasmyn and hugged her tightly. She hugged back even tighter.

Jasmyn: "I'm glad you have stayed."

Soundwave: "Hold that thought."

I opened my comlink and commed to the Nemisis. Megatron immediately answered.

Megatron: "Soundwave, where in the pits of Kaon are you?"

Soundwave: "I apologize Megatron, but I no longer take orders from you. I am no longer a deception."

Megatron: "WHAT!? YOU HAVE GONE TO THE ENEMY? WHY IN THE PIT WOULD YOU DO THAT?"

Soundwave: "It's quite simple really. I chose family. Goodbye."

I turned off my comlink and looked at Jasmyn with a smile. She smiled back and kissed my cheek.

Alpha Trion: "You see child? I told you he would make the right choice."

Jasmyn looked up at the old wise not and nodded. She looked back at me and whispered in my ear.

Jasmyn: "Mom would have been proud."

I chuckled and closed my eyes in what I felt. True happiness, and peace of mind.
