I woke up and realized I was still laying on Karter. I got up and went to the bathroom. I looked at my face and my lip was bigger than usual. I just took care of my hygiene. And grabbed East.
"Aye lil man. You sleep good? You want some breakfast?" I said to him. He still a baby so he don't understand but I read that if you talk to a baby like their grown then it helps teach them faster.
I changed his diaper and took off his pjs. We headed to the kitchen and Karter has been grocery shopping. He had everything in here. Me and East started cooking. He kept laughing for some reason but I didn't pay it no mind till I noticed what he was saying.
"Karderrr" East said looking at Karter. I turned to meet eyes with Karter. With this smirk on his face.
"Can you go get ready?" I said irritated at the sight of his face.
"Damn what are you still fussing at me for?" He said. I was more nervous of what CeeCee was going to say and if she would believe me when I tell her that me and bryan didn't even do nothing.
"What if she don't care for me no more? What if she be like fuck you and that baby? What if-..."
"Jasmine shut up with allat shit. Imma fix it so chill. And that's the last time I'm saying that to yo ass." He stated while clenching then unclenching his jaw.
"Okay but please go get dressed so we can go see her." He nodded and headed up the stairs.
I made East a plate and fed him. This fat boy was not playing about his food. He down the whole plate. If he don't chill he going to be too big to touch his feet.
I heard Karter coming down the stairs looking and smelling fresh. So I got up and made his plate.
"I just noticed that you was rushing me to get dressed but y'all not even dressed ain't that some shit." He said jokingly.
"We don't take long." I said heading to get a outfit for me and East. Then straight to the bathroom we went. We washed up and changed. I combed out my hair and put on a beanie. And I put some pink lotion and just re-twisted East hair. And we were ready.
"And you said it wouldn't take long it's been hours."
"It took us 45 minutes and that's for both of us punk so shut up."
"Yeah whatever come on." We headed to the garage.
"CeeCee or new apartment, first?" He asked as I was putting East in the car seat.
"Apartment."
"Damn" He said in a shocked voice.
"What?"
"You been pressing me about this girl and now you got the chance to talk to her and fix things but you want to go get apartment first."
"Cuz I still don't want her to be too mad at me when she see me. Just tryna let her breathe for a little longer. You know?" I said. And he nodded in agreement with me.
The whole car ride was silent except for the music. We pulled up to South Glen Apartments. It looked like the hood which don't really scare me. But I don't want to have to look over my shoulder all the time. And I have a baby with me that I have to keep safe. It just wouldn't be a right fit for us.
"You like these?" Kash said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"No I really don't. Somewhere else?" He made a u-turn. And went to a new place. It was called Morning Star Apartments.
