We had to rush out of the house to get to the building on time
plus I had to run and get a rental car I ended up getting a matte white Range Rover but it was me podie and Aryah in the car
I was so nervous not because of when we pulled up it was a whole crowd of people
but because my family was about to meet my boyfriend
I got my life together and checked myself in the mirror
I slowly opened the door to the Rover and stepped out and so did Podie and Aryah
the way we got out it was like a movie it was people taking pictures and things like that I felt like I was a celebrity
I walked in the building and was so shocked by the decorations my momma had really out did herself
I went to find her so she could meet Podie and so I could think her for all the help she gave me this week
I found her she was in the kitchen like always cooking
I walked in and grabbed a nacho and she popped me on my hand
I laughed and gave her a hug and told her I needed her to meet someone
I walked over to podie grabbing his arm he was also was really nervous
my mom analyzed him for a second making me think she didn't like him but then she smiled and greeted him
"Hey welcome to the family what your name"
"Jayden"
I looked at him because he had never told me his real name so I was so shocked that I finally figured it out
I thought I was going to have to investigate
I started laughing and they both looked at me smiling
my momma gave me and podie a hug and walked off to her job
I teased him about his name until it was time for me to give everybody a thanks and make my big announcement which I was really scared about
Aryah already knew what it was so she came on stage just in case I couldn't do it
"Hey Guys I just wanna give everyone a big thanks for coming out to celebrate my 17th birthday I had so much fun today "
I started to get into the announcement and got a little shaky
I looked at Podie who was smiling and my mom who was fixing up the tables and everybody was just looking at me
"Okay so ummmh I have a big announcement to make for you guys I'm nervous ass hell only one person knows this except for me I've been hiding this for about two months now but I think it time for everyone to know before I start to grow"
I looked at Podie again who was now looking beyond confused and my mom attention was all on me
"I don't want anyone looking at me differently or judging me and I definitely don't want any bashing me telling me I'm wrong but about two months ago I discovered that I was getting really sick and I went to the doctor and found out that I might be having a little me or Podie "
Everyone's mouths dropped in the crowd and I seen that podie was making his way up to the stage
I was so scared of what was going through everyone's head but my mom when I looked at her that made me break down she looked so disappointed in me
I started to tear up so I ran off the stage but soon heard people yelling and clapping most likely was my gang family cause all my real family members were disappointed in me
Podie ran up and gave me the longest hug ever
he just kept giving me little kisses and holding me tight
then I seen my mom she came up to me and asked if we could talk
of course I had no choice but to say yes I went to the back of the stage behind a curtain and my momma yanked me up and started yelling whispering in my ear
"Your a fucking hoe you only been with him for 5 months and you run off and get pregnant I knew I should have took you out that school hope you know you finna abort it I hope you fucking catch a disease every time I see you it's a new nigga are you a prostitute or something cause it sure is a lot off gang bangers here"
I looked at her with a glare and all I could do is cry what mother would tell her daughter that that's why I never liked being around her
she walked out and I dropped to the floor crying
I felt as if I let everyone down and all I wanted to cry but not here
I decided I was ready to go home I went and found podie and we left
he kept asking me what was wrong but I didn't wanna talk about it I just sat facing the window trying not to make noises while I cried but he already knew I was
we pulled up to the store and he got out I had no idea what he was doing he was never up to no good
but this time he was he came out with some of my favorite snacks
which was pickles a pack of rice crispy treats hot fries and a big sprite he told me instead of crying eat
he finally made me laugh so I did what he told me to do when we got home we watched tv and ate til we dropped
I decided I was gonna cut of my momma cause I didn't want her stressing me that could cause me to loose my baby and yes I was going to keep it because I had always wanted a baby
when I was 14 I remember saying if I was ever able to get wealthy I would have a kid and look at us we was making 1000 or more a day so I felt as if we were able to take care of a baby plus I really loved kids and so did podie
I ended up falling asleep on Podie's chest while he rubbed my stomach as if I already had a baby bump already
the bed was covered with snack rappers but we still fell asleep in the bed with the room a total mess
