I went back upstairs with pizza in my hand and waited for Podie to continue the conversation
"Sooo?"
"I already told them"
"Did they agree"
"No Aryah ain't going"
"And what if y'all lil plan don't work and I end up doing life in prison I'm only 18"
"Aryah you sound crazy you didn't do anything to get life in prison"
"How do you know that"
I looked at her knowing I wasn't for sure but I was sure she wasn't going to prison for life
"You're the victim Aryah"
"How?"
"He was finna do who knows what and Jordan had to do something if he wasn't there we might be looking for you in a ditch somewhere just tell the police what happened exactly"
"Can I talk to her for a minute?"
I nodded and me and Podie walked out into the highway
Aryah POV
They both walked out and Jordan looked at me sideways
"What?"
"You not gonna do time it's better if we go to the police station just tell them what happened"
"What if it don't work how we think it is"
"We won't know if we don't see I doubt anything happen to you"
"I just don't trust it"
"Remember what I said when we were out"
"Yeah"
"What i said"
"You need a rider"
"So can you ride for me and put your trust in me"
"I guess"
"Ight let's go"
I put in my shoes and walked out the door
"You changed her mind" Kaycia said looking shocked
"Yeah"
"Okay let's go before it get to late"
We all rode in the same car and Sonny trailed behind us to be my support system
they might get along but at the end of the day he still my big brother
We pulled up to the police station and my heart was beating at full speed we walked in and I just got a wave of heavy I could think straight or anything
"Aryah you heard me"
"Huh"
"You can go to the back"
"Oh okay"
Sonny stood up and gave me a hug I just hope I'm not guilty of anything Sonny can't be without me he's all I got and all he got
I got took into this room I've seen in movies who would have ever thought I would be in one of these
they started asking questions and I told them everything didn't leave out one detail then it turned into something else
he started pushing the fact that we left the scene and went to get breakfast after all this he called me a monster and everything
next thing I know I was balling my eyes out begging I didn't know what was gonna happen
I did plan for it to go like this the officer walked out and a lady came in a and sat down
"Sweetie how old are you"
"I just turned 18"
"And you out with 22 year old Jordan Watts look here he bad news and i know I don't suppose to be talking to you about this but I looked at your record squeaky clean and a honor student I'm telling you because I don't want you to end up like your friend out there you might not see nothing wrong but that young lady had a bright future but threw it all away for a little boy and a gang do see yourself there"
"No mam"
"Okay imma dismiss your case but I don't wanna see you around that boy cause he's about to get locked away after today"
"Wait what he did nothing he saved me"
"Did you hear what I said we can open your case up too if you like"
"Okay can I talk to him"
"No go home get some rest I'll get some people send you some paperwork and recommendations for a therapist for after what you seen today"
If only she knew I wasn't just gonna let Jordan go down for this at all then I remembered what he said he needed a "RIDER"
