Mingi and I were leaving art class, and we saw San talking to Jongho. He looked very distressed and worried about something.
"Hey Jongho." Mingi said as he wrapped his arm around Jongho.
"Hey big guy, I can't really talk right now San is worried about something." Jongho said while looking at San.
"What's up?" I asked. Even though I clearly knew the answer.
"Hwanwoong isn't answering me...and I'm getting worried because we were supposed to meet up after school. And everyone's said they haven't seen him either and I'm just concerned."
"Hey don't worry, I'm sure he just went home early or something." I said while locking up my locker.
San sighed.
"You're right. I'm just overeacting maybe." San said while forcing a smile.
I smiled back.
"I gotta head out, see you guys later." I said while walking away.

Once I got home, I opened my phone and scrolled through SNS.
I noticed that San has posted a really nice mirror selfie of himself.
His caption read:
'homecoming is tomorrow and I still can't get a hold of my date'
I smiled at my phone as I liked the post.
He had already over 100 comments.
Most of the comments were just classic heart eyes or people talking about how excited they were to go to homecoming.
I smiled at myself knowing that San would be going to home coming alone tomorrow. That would be the perfect time for me to make my move on him!
Hwanwoong would never be coming back, so I can do whatever I wanted with San.
I giggled and exited out of the app.
I dozed off and then I awoke when I heard my phone ringing.
The caller ID was just a number and I was curious so I picked it up.
"Hello?" I answered in my drowsy voice.
"It's me, Yeonjun. I have some news." He said on the other line.
I got out of bed and turned my night light on.
"What's up?" I asked as I cleared my throat.
"The janitor at school went to the abandoned basketball court, and found Hwanwoongs body. He alerted the authorities and now the scene is flooded with cops!"
My heart started to pound.
"Goddamnit! We should have gotten rid of the body right after we killed him. Did we leave any evidence behind?" I asked in a now shaky voice.
"I- I hope not. I got rid of your bloody shirt and the box cutter I used."
"Good. I don't think we have anything to worry about then."
"Yeah, if anything, they might blame the crime on San."
"What..? NO! I won't let them. You left Hwanwoongs phone with him?! I will not let them blame my San."
—
"San... I'm so sorry.." Jongho whispered to me as I cried onto my pillow.
"What kind of monster would do this..? Why would they hurt Hwanwoong?! Let alone kill him." I cried.
"San I don't know, but please calm down.." Jongho whispered as he hugged me.
I sniffled and wiped my tears away.
"I just- I can't.." I whispered.
"Whoever did this to him will get caught, trust me." He reassured.
"I hope they pay!" I yelled.
Jongho sighed and gave me a pat on the back.
"Get some rest." He said as he turned the light off.
I sighed and pulled the covers over my face. I know Jongho was just trying to help me, but I couldn't just let this go.
My boyfriend was brutally murdered, for what seems like no reason.
As far as I knew, Hwanwoong was nice to everyone, and no one seemed to have had a problem with him.
He rarely got on anyone's nerves, let alone hurt anybody.
So what was the reason? Why did this person kill him?
All these thoughts floated around in my head. I needed an answer, or some sort of explanation.

The next morning was a Saturday. The day of home coming!
I was so excited that I woke up feeling amazing! The bright blue sky and the blazing Sun shined into my room. I began to whistle a song as I looked for some going out clothes to wear.
I was going to meet up with Mingi and Yunho and just hang out. We were all going to home coming later that day anyways, so we just decided that we'd be together the whole day.
I found a gray long sleeve shirt and black tipped jeans. I looked in the mirror and smiled as I saw how good I looked.
I walked out of the house and saw that Yunho and Mingi were outside, waiting in Yunho's car.
"Come on in!" Yunho yelled.
I jumped into the back seat and smiled brightly.
"Goooood morning everyone!!!" I yelled.
"Why are you so perky today?" Mingi asked as he turned around to face me.
"Oh no reason." I said while looking around. "I just feel good today, that's all."
Before Mingi could respond, Yunho stopped at a cafe and let us out.
We all sat down at a table that was outside, and Yunho began to speak.
"Hey did you guys hear about what happened last night?" Yunho asked.
"What?" Mingi asked.
"They found Hwanwoongs dead body in the old basketball court."' Yunho whispered. "Our School is littered with cops."
"What the fuck? How did he die? And why was he in there?!" Mingi asked.
"They said it was homicide, he was stabbed 78 times and he was choked." Yunho said as he shivered.
"The cops think that it was someone from our school responsible, but he feels like it was more than just one person.""Tch, sick fucks must be right under our noses and we don't know it!" Mingi said with disgust.
I stayed silent.
Mingi and Yunho looked at me.
"You alright Wooyoung? Yunho asked.
I smiled and nodded. "Yes I'm fine, I'm just worried that whoever this psycho killer is, is going after anyone at our school. That includes us.."
