Chapter Five (What Happened?!)

I was in the HQ while Steve and Nat were out on mission I was laying on my bed writing down things for a report when a heard gunshots and yelling, I went to walk out of my room, two agents blocked me,
"I demand you let me out! I know your boss! I made your tech!" I yelled as I looked around,
"Miss Stark you can't leave under orders from the boss." One said I nodded and held my phone behind my back,
"I might have to call Steve." I said staring at the two knowing I allowed my phone to call him.
"No need to do that I'm sure the Captain knows." The second said I sighed as I looked down,
"Can I at least go to the bathroom?" I asked as I knew Steve picked up and I could hear him through my earpiece,
"Amber are you okay? Why are you trapped?" I could hear him ask, the two men infront of my nodded, I had my gear on and my guns were hidden,
"I think I'm okay now, once I get to the bathroom and deal with my buisness I'll be back in my room." I said as I walked to the bathroom and closed and locked the door,
"Steve is everything okay? I need rescuing the whole HQ is on lock down." I said softly as I paced around,
"Amber do you have your suit on?" He asked,
"Yes." I said looking around and out the window.
"Look Nick was killed and Nat and I are on the way to get you, just get out of the window." Steve said I was tearing up a rare father figure in my life is dead. I opened the window slowly and quietly I jumped out and landed, I spotted Steve he waved me over quietly and I nodded and took a full bolt and within steps of getting to the car I felt an electric current go through my body and i couldn't stay standing and I toppled over, Steve picked me up and put me in the back seat as I felt every muscle in my body tense up,
"Amber, are you okay?" Nat asked quickly.
"Of course she isn't okay!" Stev yelled as he sat in the backseat with me,
"S-Steve, I'll be fine." I said grabbing his hand as I was shaking. I had the news sprung on me and I was basically tazed, not fun. Steve was holding me close resting my head on his chest, I felt safe as I closed my eyes and fell asleep peacefully.

I woke up to Steve shaking me, I sat up and looked at him,
"where are we?" I asked softly as he opened the door and Nat was leaning on the car.
"A friend's house." Steve said as I got out.
"Are we going in?" Nat asked Stev nodded and walked up to the door as Nat and I followed,
"Hey what's going on?" Sam asked looking at the three of us,
"Everyone we know is trying to kill us." Nat said quickly. Sam invited us in, Steve grabbed my hand quickly,
"Sorry guys but just give us a minute and we'll be in." Steve said before Sam closed the door, I looked at Steve,
"What's going on?" I asked softly as Steve squeezed my hands,
"Nat kissed me and asked me if that was my first kiss in 2 years and I think she knows that we are starting to get together again." He blurted, I turned red.
"Steve you kissed her? I can't believe this!" I said annoyed, I looked up at him and he pulled me in for a hug as i rested my head on his chest he put his chin on my head and sighed,
"I love you Amber." He said softly, I looked up at him surprised,
"That was the first time you ever said I love you. I love you too." I said softly. Steve put his hands on on my cheeks and pulled me close into a rough kiss. He pulled away and smiled at me, oh that smile I've missed it the past few days.

We walked in and we got all freshened up and we sat on the bed talking,
"Hey I made breakfast if you eat that kind of thing." Sam said as if we were aliens,
"I eat food." I said quickly as I got up and went into the kitchen, we all started to discuss what to do. Sam was pointing at his suit,
"I can't ask you to do this." Steve said pacing, I looked at Steve,
"Yes we can, Sam you wouldn't bring this up if you didn't want to help." I said looking at Sam,
"If Captain America needs my help then I'm all in." Sam said looking at Steve and then me,
"Now let's track down Sitwell." Natasha said grabbing keys and we all looked at her and nodded, I put my suit on and walked out the door to the car, Sam got in the passenger and I went to grab the hand on the passenger side back seat but Steve grabbed my arm and turned me around. I looked up at him,
"Amber, you can't go. It's not safe." Steve demanded, I shook my head and opened the door,
"Steve I'm getting in and I'm going to interrogate Sitwell with you, and you can't stop me." I said before Steve grabbed my hand and nodded,
"If I can't stop you I'm gonna encourage you." He said as we got in the car and he wrapped an arm around me. I sighed and looked out the window.

I was pacing as we all interrogated Sitwell when I heard the words Zola and algorithm. I freaked,
"If Zola completes this fully then these satellites will circle the world and kill anyone who is a threat to Hydra." He confessed. I heard banging and all of a sudden a door swung open. Someone came in with guns blazing, Steve looked at me and threw his shield at the masked man, I realized he was distracted so I punched him and knocked his mask aside,
"Bucky?" Steve stuttered out, I looked over at the door way and spotted agent Hill, I raised an eye brow as he mouthed,
"Get out!" So I looked at Nat she gave me a nod, we pinned Bucky to the ground and held him in place until Steve and Sam were out. We got out and Hill looked at us,
"You four need safety immediately." Hill said before walking us to this big helicopter. We flew toward a safe house, we were escorted to the house and let in,
"Nice to see you all again." I heard and turned to see who said it and I nearly passed out.
