"Jesus Christ! Can you be quiet?" I screamed at my roommate, I was chilling on the couch. I definitely did not need any interruptions at this point. When wrestling comes on, it's quiet time.

I live with two annoying ass friends...ugh...are they even friends? Yes, friends. I live with a couple that I met off of Craigslist. I know, I know Craigslist is not the safest place to meet people. But I was desperately needing somewhere to stay. I had tried everything and I mean everything to stay at home but it's kind of impossible when you're 23 and needing your own space. Living with an overprotective mother for most of your life starts to drive you crazy. I know she was just trying to make me feel better about not getting accepted into college, but the constant conversation was too much. I didn't use to hate my mother. We were close, we had a good family, we had a nice house. But dad drank too much and left me when I was in my teens. I won't go too much into detail. That would bring me back to this exact moment, sitting on my couch yelling at my roommates.

Professional Wrestling - a form of performance art and entertainment that combines athletics with theatrical performance.

It's my turn on our overly large TV that Joanna (my roommate) and Tyler (her boyfriend) bought to celebrate their third anniversary. The TV is probably the biggest part of this entire apartment. Is that sad? I tend to get off track, back to the TV. It's my turn on the TV and thankfully I recorded last nights episode of NXT. If you're not a wrestling fan, then you have no idea what NXT is. I like to think of it as training before you hit the big leagues. The show features not as well known wrestlers from around the world showcasing their talents on a smaller scale. The wrestlers also get a live crowd, which personally seems pretty scary. I've loved wrestling for as long as I can remember. It's been my escape to the world and right now I needed that.
My eyes were glued to the TV. My favorite wrestler of all time, Shayna Baszler entered the ring. She was drop dead gorgeous. That dark slick back ponytail did wonders on her. Definitely a lesbian, or at least I hoped. I would do anything for the chance to be her girlfriend. I bit my lip when she held up the Women's Championship title. She looked damn good with that gold. Tonight she had steel cage match against Io Shirai. Io is an insanely tough competitor. She wrestled Shayna many times in Japan but Shayna has an MMA background. They are both bada$$ ladies and incredible entertainers. Whoever wins, will be the NXT Women's Champion. The champion basically runs the place. They get the most matches, the best feuds, and the toughest competitors. Everyone looks up to the champion, including me.
Shayna crouched down and waited as the ring announcer announced Io Shirai's stats. When it was Shayna's turn, I got up and screamed at the TV.
"That's my babygirl! You got this Shay!"
Joanna walked into the room. She plopped down on the mustard colored couch that was placed against the wall.
Disgusted, Joanna groaned, "Wrestling? Again?"

"You know I have to watch it, girl! Especially when it's Shayna. She's just so goddamn hot. Look at her, Jo! Those muscles! Damn!" I rolled my eyes back into my head with pleasure. Joanna gave me the look, you know the look.

Joanna crosses her arms and gets comfortable on the couch, "Tyler is out getting groceries so I'm stuck with you for the rest of the afternoon. If I'm going to be stuck with you, can you at least stop screaming at the TV?"

"That's why it got quiet." I scoffed.

"You're the one out here yelling at a random woman who literally has no idea you exist. Calm your tits."

"Oh trust me, one day Shayna will know me. One day." I turned up the volume and focused on the match.
