"Hey, Alluka. Do you have everything with you?"
Alluka ruffled her bag. "Mmmm...yeah I think so."
Killua raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean, I think so? Do you have your clothes? Hygiene products? Whatever the hell ladies use?" Killua murmured that last part.
"Yeah, Oni-chan! I'm ready!" Alluka smiled.
"Ok! Onward!" Killua pointed forward.
Today was the day. The day Killua was going to meet Gon after six months of being apart after the fight. Six months after— no, Killua. He told himself not to think like that. Gon is most likely back to his normal cheery-self, and what was he doing? Still thinking about a six month-old problem. Gon isn't going to acknowledge it, why should you?
A finger poked him. "Oni-chan?"
Killua woke up from his thoughts. Right in front of him, stood Gon's house. Should he enter? Should he just leave? No, that would be weird; he was sure that Gon had already sensed him. He opened the door.
"Hello—?"
"KILLUAAAAAAA—!!!" A familiar boy collapsed on top of him. He raised his head, only to reveal the green pineapple head, and brown puppy eyes. Yeah, Gon was back. The Gon he had befriended at the beginning of the exam.
"OI, BAKAA WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?!? Why collapse ON ME?!?!"
Gon sat down (on Killua) and crossed his arms. "You were the one complaining, 'oh BAKA we haven't seen each other in months!' I'm greeting you!"
Killua shouted. "By breaking my ribs???" Killua pitties Alluka, who's eyes, were looking back and forth between Gon and Killua, probably deciding if she could help or not.
"I didn't BREAK them! It wouldn't hurt you anyways, you're used to it!" Gon shouted back.
"It would still hurt, THAT'S HOW THE HUMAN BODY WORKS!" Killua pushed Gon and kept rolling, fighting like cats.
The front door opened. "Hey Gon, I'm—"
Gon and Killua froze. Gon was on top of Killua, pulling his arms and sitting on his stomach. Killua was beneath Gon, his hand pulling his shirt, and another hand on his face. This scene did not look good. The expression on Mito's face did not look good. Their future did not look good. Gon and Killua looked at each other, and they separated.
Gon spoke up. "Aunt Mito, it's not what it loo—!"
"Gon."
"Aunt Mito, I really didn't—!"
"No. I don't care about that. Why didn't you do it in your room, for God's sake! Alluka is watching!"
Oh no. She really got the wrong idea.
"Aunt Mito, it really wasn't that! Gon came to greet me in a sort-of aggressive way..."
"Hmmm. Okay. I'm going to believe this for now, only because we need to talk about the school."
"Okay." Me and Gon grunted. Poor Alluka. She looked so confused.
They settled dinner. While Aunt Mito cooked in the kitchen, Gon went to show Alluka where she'd be sleeping, while Killua awkwardly sat at the dinner table.
Warm hands touched his shoulders.
"Hey Killua, come on." Gon grabbed Killua's hand and dragged him upstairs.
Gon showed no sign of emotion. It just seemed like nothing had happened and that they were back in the good old days. But why did Killua feel uneasy? Gon clearly was ready to move on, so why couldn't he? He was raised to feel no pain, so why did it feel like his heart dropped to his stomach?
"Here!" Gon handed over a fluffy, white towel. "You know where my bathroom is, and you know where you'll be sleeping, so I don't really have to explain." Gon smiled.
It was mid-summer, the sun way still up, the skies were blue, and the chirps of birds could be heard outside. The scent of the ocean and Aunt Mito's cooking mixed together like a sweet sunset. Gon's smile lit up the room and instantly made Killua feel warm. No, it should've made Killua feel warm. Everything seemed perfect at the moment, so why..?
"Yeah, thanks. I'll take the shower now." Killua said, murmuring.
Gon stayed in the same spot. Killua stared at him for while. Gon stood still. Killua tried and make it obvious he wanted privacy by lifting his shirt a little, but Gon marveled his abs instead. Killua pushed him out of the room and shut the door behind him. He thought for a second he was talking to a rock rather than his friend. How could anyone be so oblivious?

"Boys! Come down, dinner is read— oh, hi Alluka." Alluka came rushing down the minute Aunt Mito announced food. She must've been hungry, since Killua and Alluka hadn't eaten anything since going to the airport.
Killua had just come out of the shower and had changed into a blue hoodie he had left here last time. Gon stopped Killua before he could head downstairs:
"Killua! You know what Aunt Mito has for dessert?"
"Actually no. Haven't checked yet."
Gon impatiently huffed and whined. "KILLUAAAA~" Gon got nearer to Killua and whispered in his ear.
"She's got—"
Killua broke the door open. He barged downstairs with Gon following behind him, both doing what looked like military marching. The both sat down at the same time in a serious manner.
"Hi, uh.. what's this about..?" Aunt Mito whispered to Alluka but she shrugged.
Aunt Mito had prepared and enormous amount of food, as she usually does whenever Killua visits. She complains that he's too skinny and pale. She prepared omurice(omelet), katsudon (pork cutlet bowl) and other things Killua had never eaten before. She even went out and bought ebi fry (deep-fried shrimp). It was a feast for the beasts.
"If you eat all of this, I'll give you something sweet!" Aunt Mito smiled. It was the smile of a madwoman. No wonder Gon was related to her.
Killua and Gon were stumped. How were they going to get the dessert if they had to eat food that could feed the whole Hunter Association? They had to try.
With a defiant shout, they had started digging in.

Gon and Killua were stuffed. What seemed like hours eating, had actually been 15 minutes. And what seemed like hundreds of plates were cleared, had actually been just 12. Gon was already throwing up over the window. Killua was lying on the floor wishing he would throw up.
"Goodbye 8-pack." He sobbed. "It was nice meeting ya'll. We had a nice time together since I was 9, or 8 was it? Don't remember..."
Alluka, having been the only rational child in the house, had eaten what was adequate.
"You pigs!" Aunt Mito shouted.
Gon peeked from over the window he was puking in. His face was covered with food. Killua tried to sit up but unfortunately failed and fell back with a thump.
"This is amazing. They call you what— pro-hunters? Legends? Saviors? That's hilarious. One is vomiting his soul out and the other is about to pass out. I wish I had a phone right about now." Aunt Mito scoffed.
"Urkk!"
"Oh, now he gets up, great, and he's vomiting on my other window, okay." Aunt Mito looked at Alluka. "We should help them right?"
Alluka looking worried, nodded aggressively.
This is just part of the beginning. A new page turns. A new chapter for both Gon and Killua. They are now starting anew with the dreams and hope of becoming heroes. Will they be able to sit still and finish their exams? Will they blow their cover of them secretly being pro-hunters? What would their business be in Musutafu, and will they be able to complete their mission?
Killua just hoped they would be alive by the end of it.
