Mariposa's Future in Politics

Mariposa has turned into a strong and confident young lady and is in her final year of high school having been 3 years old when her niece Gabriela was born she is now 17 and is looking into college. She has been inspired by her brother Marco to take on politics as a possible career and maybe even the military since she also got her black in karate and can take direct order. Marco eventually did get his Black belt at the age of 21 after his daughter Elena was born.

Mariposa has been researching colleges around the USA and has looked at Yale, Harvard, NYU, Stanford, Princeton, University of California at Los Angeles, and more. She has also received numerous scholarship offers for her academic and charity accomplishments threw high school.

Marco is so proud of his sister that she has taken such an interest in what he does with Earth-ni (because he is the king). After discussing with his wife Star Butterfly-Diaz they decided to ask Mariposa to be an intern in the court and get a feel for the politics of the kingdom which would look great on her college resumes.

After taking on the role as an intern not only does she get to spend more time with her brother and his family but also she if politics is what's right for her. Being there for a few weeks and seeing how everything works and seeing everything happen right in front of her she has finally made a decision on what to major in when she get to college in a few months. Mariposa has decided on majoring in political science to become a royal adviser to either her brother and sister-in-law or her niece (depending on when she graduates).

Mariposa has a 4.0 average, an impressive community service hours, and extracurricular activity and can pretty much get into any college she wants. Since it's May and she is about to graduate she has been getting acceptance letters from schools around the county. One college she has her eye on is University of California, Berkeley. Best of all she has been offered a full ride scholarship in their program for political science. It may have also helped that she had a letter of recommendation from her sister-in-law Queen Star Butterfly.
