Patton hates Remus with a firey passion. He wants to kill him so badly but he can't, because Remus is immortal, he'll always comes back. And that'll bring him down when he finally snaps in front of everyone. His mental state is so close to snapping already, as evidenced by the stress that has been going on in Thomas's life. If it gets worse, he will try to kill Remus in front of them all. Thomas has morals, they're questionable at times. Everyone's are.
