Loud rumbles of thunder made you shiver under your blankets. You had no idea what happened to Thor for him to make it thunder as hard as it did. Something probably went wrong-you knew these thunderstorms only happened when he was upset, angry or sad.

It was cold in your apartment and you longed for someone to hold you. The blankets weren't enough to make you feel warm. You wondered where your girlfriend had gone and you started to become worried about her. The storm seemed unforgiving and if she was outside, she could catch a cold.

You chuckled. There you were, being worried about a skilled warrior who was part of the Valkyrie to defeat the goddess of death, catching a cold. It had been about eight months since you came to know that Thor, the god of thunder, brought a friend from Asgard-Valkyrie. That was how he introduced her and that was also how she introduced herself. Looking back at that time, you had no idea that Thor was actually trying to match you two up. You didn't know if she knew about it, but whatever it was, you were still happy you two got to meet. Two months later you got together.

The locks in the door turned and you looked at the entrance to see Valkyrie struggle to get the keys out of the door and put away the wet umbrella. She was holding a pizza box, which she brought to the kitchen to get out some plates and give them to you. It wasn't long before you received a warm plate with pepperoni pizza, together with a kiss on your forehead.

"I'm sorry I'm late," Valkyrie panted, taking off her jacket, throwing it on the chair at your desk. "I had to calm down the almighty god of thunder, or the thunderstorms would be worse than this." You smiled at her and nodded, holding up a pizza piece, which Valkyrie took a bite off.

"What happened, anyway?" you asked, watching as she changed her wet clothes for some sweatpants and a tank top. You started to blush-she looked so beautiful and stunning. The pizza on your plate almost dropped on your bed, you were so distracted.

Valkyrie blew into her hands, closing the closet door. "He had an argument with the Hulk- Banner, I mean." She rolled in bed next to you, holding your waist as she kissed the back of your neck. You put the plate on your nightstand, reaching out for Valkyrie's hands.

"You're cold," you said, holding her hands more tightly. She chuckled and her breath tickled your neck. She rubbed over your upper arms as she nuzzled your neck further.

"Mm, yeah, what did you expect? I just got out of the rain."

You turned around so that you could see her. Her beautiful brown eyes, the white marks on her face, her dark curls. Your fingers made their way to her cheek, caressing her skin with your thumb. Valkyrie closed her eyes and smiled. The peace she found with you, it was written all over her face.

"If the storm stops, do you want to go out?" you asked, now brushing her hair. Valkyrie scoffed and pulled you closer, burying her face in the crook of your neck where you felt her breathing slow and steady against your skin. You could feel her smile.

"Nope," she answered. "I'm too lazy."

You wrapped your arms around her neck. "Okay, okay, fine," you said, closing your eyes as well. "But then you have to promise me we'll go on a double date sometime."

"A double date with?" she mumbled, making the least effort to get out a proper sentence.

"Bruce and Thor."
