Aiden laid us on the bed as he pats my head caressingly and that calms me a little but my uneasiness was still there. Aiden must have noticed my stiff posture as he gently lifts up my chin. He creases his eyebrows before he kisses my head.

"There's nothing to be afraid of Rose. I'm here for you, always. You can count on me" and just like that my fears just went away and I was now calmed down as I breath in Aiden's intoxicating scent.

"You smell nice" I said unawared.

He just chuckles and I just wanted to lay there, in his warm embrace.

"Rose, can you tell me what had happened? Why you were wet and was coated with grime?" he asks me as he strokes me hair.

I was embarrassed of my previous state and don't want to think about that event but I can count on Aiden.

"I was just looking outside of a store, admiring a dress when the owner yelled at me to get lost. I just wanted to look at the dress and because of my clumsiness I fell down on the streets" Aiden says nothing, but there was a slight pause before he continued to stroke my hair as he kissed the top of my head.

"We'll buy you tons of dresses and you don't need to worry about people looking down on you, I'll make sure that all you will get is the best. I promise you that" I smiled at him before I let out an indiscreet yawn. I was tired and Aiden seems to notice this as he lays me on the bed.

I feel my body tense but when Aiden's arms came around my body, I seem to calm everytime I was around Aiden. My fears seem go away everytime he was near me.

"Go to sleep baby, I'll be here when you're awake" he whispers to me and I snuggled closer to hin and laid my head in the crook of his neck, trying to make myself comfortable.

For the first time in years, I was able to sleep on a bed without having to worry about my fears resurfacing. I didn't reminisce about what had happened years ago.

I just slept comfortably in the hands of my mate, who was holding me tightly.

I woke up with an arm around my waist, surprisingly I woke up without nightmares. I look at the brawny arm with delicate veins and lifted my arms to touch the veins lightly. Aiden shifted lightly but stilled and went back to sleep as his soft snores echoed in the room.

I just laid there watching Aiden sleep, it might sound creepy but I couldn't help but admire his refined facial structures. I couldn't help but lift my hand to trace his face, from his delicate yet strong brows, his straight and perfect nose, his plump and seductive lips to his prominent and sharp jawline.

I skimmed his face with much admiration but retracted my hand back, in fear that he will wake up.

"I didn't tell you to stop" Aiden's husky voice suddenly said, with his eyes still closed and I let out a shriek but Aiden just pulled me closer as he opened his eyes,

"Goodmorning baby" he greeted me but I was too shy to say it back as I burried my head in the junction between his neck and shoulders. I could feel Aiden's chuckle rumble against his chest and I burried my head closer, to hide my timidness.
