CHAPTER XV
There is a woman seating by the shore. In her arms is a babe about two and a half years old. Both of them have golden hair. They have ivory skin that much resembles those in the northern Europe.
Warily, the woman settled the child on the sand beside her. Together, they bent their knees as the waves approach touching the tips of their feet. The woman was merrily smiling and laughing, so was the little girl.
They were undoubtedly happy.
Phire had lost her I.D, which means she can't enter the school or get lunch passes. Well, how she'll get her lunch, if she can't even enter the school?
Luckily, Freya is there. He'll be coming with her so she can 'enter' the school, and have 'lunch' inside the school. Awkward.
They rode in the same car. Entered the same gate, but awkwardness was still the forte between them. Honestly, she couldn’t believe what she had done. She tainted the mind of an innocent kid. Lauren would definitely get mad at her. But it appears Freya is normally normal. In fact he’s more than that. There’s something in his aura that tells calmness and brightness. He’s blooming, though she’s not quite sure if that was the correct term.
As they got down the car, everybody was staring.
“I’ll be late” she said even without looking at him. She's trying to avoid even the tiniest attention from the crowd.
Without more than five seconds he quickly grabbed her hand. “I’ll be coming with you... I have to tell the teacher or you won’t be excused” As usual his face is unfeeling though there’s something sparkly in his eyes. Perhaps it was just her imagination.
Phire felt embarrassed, the more he’s around the more she loses her dignity. “Alright” she sighed. Well, she had to remind herself that she lost her id, which is a holy grail for each student in her new school. Just like Black had described: Without your ID your nothing. Phire got more annoyed with that thought.
She hated herself for losing her 'holy grail'.
Down the hallways, the corridors, at the doors, everyone was watching as if there’s a parade or something. Phire thinks, they must’ve thought they’re couples. But absolutely not true. How she liked to scream out that she’s also a Beaufort. She’s several months older than him. On top of that, they’re lawfully cousins.
“Oh my god!” Kasey was on the very top of her voice screaming of excitement and another emotion Phire can't put a finger on . The jolly lass cleared her desk and seated on it. Sitting on desks is strictly prohibited, but students still do, especially on breaktimes. “You know him!!! Yesterday was totally awesome” se shrieked. And that second she looked like a barbie being attacked by sadako.
