chapter 3

As Theo was getting lectured about showing a random foreign teen boy where he lives. Angelo was writing music something he did when he needed to think or clear his head. But this time it wasn't working.

"Theo you are not doing this. I will not let you meet this kid tomorrow you will stay here where you can't get lost and met more of these degenerates." Theo's father yelled at him. Theo would occasionally nod just to get his father off his back. Until Theo noticed what his father said about Angelo and the other people of Ithaca.

"He is- they are not degenerates. If you weren't cooped up in this damn house working on your joke of a novel you would know that the people of Ithaca are not degenerates they kind and give people like me a way to come back home. So don't say my friend or the people of Ithaca are degenerates." Theo yelled at his father as he stormed up the stairs to his room slamming the door behind him and just laid on the floor.

Angelo groans in frustration as he trows his song book across the room hitting the wall. Angelo got up from the desk and made his way to the notebook and now dented wall.

"Shit." Angelo said sliding down the wall head in his hands.

"τι ήταν αυτός ο Άντζελο;" Angelo's mother asked him from downstairs. (what was that Angelo?)

"τίποτα μαμά" Angelo told his mother not wanting her to stress about the small dent in the wall (nothing mom)

Angelo put his head on the wall sighing deeply knowing he was going to get in a lot of trouble. There was a small knock on Theo's door. Theo laying on the floor knew it was his mom but didn't say anything.

"We can talk about it if you want to Theo." his mom said opening the door letting some light into the dark room. Theo got up from the floor and sat on his bed waiting for his mom to sit next to him. His mom smiled sitting on his bed putting his head in her lap playing with her sons hair.

"He didn't mean what he said about Angelo. You know that right." Theo's mom told him still playing with his hair as she spoke to him.

"I know and I didn't mean to yell at him I just didn't like what he said about Angelo." Theo said now looking at his mom.

"This Angelo boy must be special to you and you only met him today." his mom said laughing looking down at her son. Theo laughed along with his mom face bright red but it was hard to tell when the only light coming into the room is the hallway light behind them. There was a long moment of silence before Theo's mom said that dinner was ready and that he couldn't eat in his room this time. Theo's mom got up and left the door opened a crack on her way out. Theo sighed getting up noticing there was no getting  out of having dinner with his father.

"το δείπνο είναι έτοιμο" Angelo's mom yelled from the kitchen (dinner is ready)

"ερχομός" Angelo yells back getting up and walking to the dinning room.

After dinner Angelo tries to got to sleep listening to music until the song "dream a little dream of me' by the mamas and the papas started to play. All Angelo could think about was Theo. And why Angelo had no idea but he was scared to find out why he feels this way about Theo.

After dinner Theo sat on his balcony looking at the stars as 'love me tenderly' by Elvis Presley played in the background. Theo's mind slowly thought  of Angelo and the events from today played over and over in his head. How Angelo smiled even though he was on the ground. Then his mind went back to his father calling Angelo a degenerate and he yelled at his father for calling him that. Why did Theo say those things, sure it was to stand up for his friend. But why did it hurt when his father called Angelo a degenerate? Frustrated with his thoughts Theo got off the balcony and when to lay on his bed sighing deeply confused and tired with his thought and the events of today.
