Chapter 1

The hot summer breeze overcame him. He could hear the waves of the ocean crashing on the shore for miles. He could smell the ocean water in the warm air, the beautiful sights, the smell of fresh seafood washing over him as he walked past shops. Yet that didn't stop him from continuing his journey. No matter how hard merchants tried to sell things he would politely tell them no and continued on his way. The boy walked with determination as if his life depended on getting to where this young boy was going. But this wasn't the only thing ever so often when more merchants tried to stop him he would go a little faster. The fast paced boys walk was short lived though. Like everything he had been working on had been taken away from him, like everything was going in slow motion until it wasn't the world once again moved at its normal pace and the person in front of him finally fell on the ground and a small groan the person looks up at him smiling slightly. Like a short, small, sweet, and simple hello. The young boy looked shocked. Shocked that someone had just accidentally made you fall on the floor in the middle of the square and you just look at him smiling. The young boy suddenly shook off his thoughts and helped the other boy up. The young boy still a little confused looks at the other boy like he was an alien. The other boy smiles at him once again sticking out his hand.

"Hello" the boy says with a slight accent

"H-hello, sorry for bumping into you it was an accident I wasn't looking where I was going and sorry" the young boy rambles on shaking the other boys hand slightly.

"I'm Theodore by the way" Theodore said looking at the boy in front of him smiling slightly

"And I am Angelo. Its nice to meet you Theodore." the boy Theodore had now knew was Angelo spoke.

"Are you from here? and please call me Theo." Theo said still having his hand in Angelo's.

"Okay Theo, and yes I'm from here I've lived here my who life." Angelo said now looking at there hands still together then looking back at Theo. Theo seems to notice Angelo looking at there hands.

"oh... u-um.... s-sorry" Theo said embarrassed pulling his hand back to his side.

Angelo was confused at first but soon realizes why Theo seemed so embarrassed.

"It's um.. It's okay" Angelo said putting his hand back to his side.

"So I'm guessing you need a guide. To you know show you around Ithaca?" Angelo said

"Yeah actually, that's why I was in a rush. I'm kind of lost" Theo said laughing off his embarrassment though his bright red face said otherwise.

"Well now you have me. So you won't get lost." Angelo said with a lopsided smile. He started to walk until he noticed Theo not following him just standing there clueless. Angelo turned around smiling a little waving at Theo to follow him. Theo looks like a light bulb went off in his head finally got what Angelo was doing and started to follow him.
