I couldn't believe Jake, out of all people would hurt me this way. I felt anger boiling up inside me that was soon replaced with heartache. Who the fu** was that girl anyways?! Why was Jake with her? Wait are they a couple? Is he dating her!!??? Why did he say he didn't know me!!!?

Tears slid down my face as I rushed to the ladies room. I slammed my books down on the sink and cried. I burried my face in my hands and sobbed. Why? I kept asking myself.

Jake's Point of View

Why? I did it to protect her. My reputation isn't well at the moment because of the group of guys I hung out with during the last few weeks of summer break. Skyler is my best friend and I didn't want her reputation to be ruined. I don't want the guys thinking she was a conquest  when she meant way more to me than that. Turned out the guys were the playboys at the high school I now go to and once I joined their group everyone thought I was now one of them. They are currently seniors now as I am barely a freshman. They hooked me up with some girls over the summer, but the main one I was with was Jessica. The spoiled little girl who gets what she wants, and at the moment what she wanted was me. I roll my eyes as she is waving her hand in front of my face. "JAKEY! Are you even listening to me!? I said I want who ever that girl was expelled!! She called me a little girl!!" She kept on complaining on the way to our 1st period class, but stopped when as we were entering the classroom. She just smiled at the guys and shot glares at the girls looking at me. She pulled my face down to hers and kissed me trying to make the girls jealous. Ugh why am I still even with her?

Looking around the class I'm relieved to see Skyler was nowhere in sight. I couldn't stand to see her hurt. Especially since I'm the one who hurt her.

Skyler's Point of View

"Sky?"

"Skyyy?"

"Skyler!!!"

I bolt awake hearing my name yelled. I look around and realize I'm still in the restroom. Shit* I must have fallen asleep. "SKYLER" I turn around and see Brittany standing there with my books in her hands. "Yes..?" I reply to her. "Girl what happened!? Have you been crying!!! Who made you cry!? Tell me now!!!" I walk towards her as she hands me my books and say "It doesn't matter, this person doesn't exist in my life anymore. Come on let's go we are going to be late. Shi* did the bell ring already? How did I not wake up??" Brittany just stared at me in disbelief before replying "Its halfway through first period, I just came to the restroom and saw you here."

Shi* Shi* Shi*
So much for not wanting to make a first bad impression.

"Sky? You don't seem yourself. What happened?"

I grab my books from her hands and reply with a forced smile "Nothing! I was just upset I got my period today and the cramps were so bad I started to cry."

Brittany just raised an eyebrow at me "Okay if you say so...By the way I know you are lying but I won't ask anymore if you don't want to tell me..." She sighed and continued "Oh! Also by any chance have you seen Jake..?" I was rinsing my face with cold water when I looked up and looked at her through the mirror before saying "Jake? Who's that?"

Realization hit her like a wave and she was about to come bury me in a hug me, but I shook my head. "Sorry I'm late to class, catch you later. "

I left the restroom and rushed to math, my first period class. I quickly glanced behind me to see if Brittany was still there, but she wasn't. I was so mad at myself for being extremely late on the first day of high school. My parents are going to be so mad... I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't realize I dropped one of my folders.

I arrived to math class and talked to the teacher apologizing for arriving at this time. I looked for any empty seats scanning the room, and I realized there was only one left by a guy I didn't know. He was on his phone so he didn't notice me sit next to him. I set my books down and listened to the teacher. Or at least tried to since apparently the guy next to me finally acknowledged my presence.

"Hey baby girl, I'm Liam, you are?"
I mentally rolled my eyes and said "Skyler. Don't call me baby girl unless you want to see your nonexistent dic* served to you for lunch."
He just chuckled and leaned back in his chair going on his phone again.

I am not going to let another guy hurt me.
Jake? Who's that?
