Chapter 2:  E̘͟ͅr̲͈̟̜̯͍r͏̰͙̲͖o҉͚̯̦̙͚ŗ̳̼̹̟̳͈͝  part 2

And with that he dragged me through another portal, no joke he had to drag me because I laid back down and refused to stand. He took me into another white void, except it wasn’t completely white, it had blue strings, puppets and souls hanging from the roof. Error’s strings were loose on me as he tried to drag me. That’s when I remembered from Error’s info that he has obvious haphephobia and all I had to do to escape was touch him and make him glitch out and reboot giving me enough time to escape and grab the file so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands, getting the file was vital as Error had a lot of enemies and if one of his enemies got the file he was doomed.

I stood up without him noticing and tapped him on the shoulder. He instantly froze and started rebooting, I smirked and went to grab his file from him but it was gone! I began freaking out, I’d seen him with the file before, where did it go!? I began looking around in a scared and frantic manner. I didn’t notice Error finish rebooting until he wrapped his strings tightly around my waist and wrists. “Eek!” I squirmed and struggled against the strings and got tighter and tighter causing my wrists to draw blood and me to stop struggling. “You can’t escape THAT easily!” Error growled, I looked at him with worry and fear. But I wasn’t scared about what could happen to me, I was scared that if he didn’t have the file then he could get killed and I didn’t want anyone hurt. “I-I Wasn’t trying to e-escape” I stuttered as blood trickled down my arms ruining the pictures I drew on them. “That’s what they all say, I’m not that gullible!” Error snarled. “I-I mean It! I-I only w-wanted the file I swear-!” I coughed out some dust that was still in my system from before. “That’s not normal” I mumbled to myself.

“What’s so special about some file?” He asked curious loosening the strings slightly so I was able to talk without stuttering. “Uh. I’m not supposed to say, but that file has all your information and in the wrong hands you could get seriously hurt!” I spoke worried. Error looked quite shocked. “Why do you care about someone like me? You’re just a dumb glitch!” Error glared at me with suspicion. “W-well I kinda know what it feels like….” I muttered. “You suffered so much, and no one came to help…I know that feeling pretty well.” I continued as he listened carefully. “When you finally got free you were… drawn back to it… the white void of nothing. Yet you still left occasionally to talk to who you thought was your toriel, and when you saw it wasn’t your toriel, you snapped.” I finished. “And that’s why I care, you’ve suffered enough already, I see no reason for you to suffer any more than you already have” I smiled kindly towards Error and saw he was glaring at the floor, as if he didn’t want to remember what had happened to make him the person he was today. “H-Hey are you okay…..?” I asked curiously. He loosened his strings completely, setting me free, and stared at the ground, his pinpricks gone from his sockets. I rushed over to him worried but didn’t touch him.

“H-hey if it’s okay with you, I could give you a hug?” I asked. He nodded slowly and I gently hugged him, he flinched but soon hugged back. “I’m sorry if I upset you…” I mumbled. “T-t-thank y-y-y-you” He stuttered, I looked at him confused and slightly shocked. “Thank you for what?” I asked. “For being kind and not judging me” He hugged me slightly tighter. I smiled kindly, happy to know my soul wouldn’t be torn apart. “Anytime! Friends?” I asked pulling away from the hug, he almost seemed hesitant to stop hugging me (So much for having haphephobia). “I would like that… besides you’re not that bad… for a glitch.” Error shrugged letting go of me. I smiled brightly and giggled happily, he slightly blushed and smiled too. “Well then my good friend! May I have your file?” I asked politely, he nodded handing it over to me after pulling it from his jacket. I felt really stupid, where else could it of been??? I’m an idiot I swear.

He smiled kindly and his eyes looked at my bleeding wrists and he frowned, the bleeding had stopped but it still hurt badly. “Your wrists I-” I stopped him before he could finish his sentence. “It’s fine, really. I can heal them myself, no need to worry” Error looked at me worried. “Anyway I should be going before-” I tried opening a portal, nothing happened. “My magic runs out…..” I sighed. “Let me guess. You ran out of magic?” Error asked. I nodded “This is why I needed sleep and now I’m stuck here- Unless you let me go but I don’t want to waste your time” I blabbed. “I could make a hammock out of strings for you in you’d like” Error suggested. “But-” Error cut me off. “I insist, I’ve caused you enough harm already and it’s better than sleeping on the Anti-void floor” I smiled gratefully. “Thank you so much” I resisted the urge to hug him as my childish self wanted to give him a big bone-crushing hug as I put his file safely in a bag I didn’t realise I had.

He smiled wider, but it wasn’t an insane or sad smile, It was a happy smile, a smile full of pure positivity! “What are friends for?” He made a hammock out of his strings and motioned me to sit down, I sat down on the surprisingly stable hammock. He grabbed my wrists gently and began stitching up my deep wounds. “I said I’ll do it myself later” I whined. He ignored me and continued to stitch my wounds, the bleeding had stopped a while ago and the blood had dried up making it hurt like hell. After stitching up my arms he grabbed something from a portal and began wiping the blood off my arms. I couldn’t tell what it was but I figured it was a wet cloth, I began to feel even more tired realising how much blood I had lost in that amount of time. After he finished I gave him a tired smile as a thank you. He motioned me to sleep and I did almost instantly as I fell into a deep sleep.

Soon after I felt a warm presence beside me but paid no attention to it figuring that Error was possibly just tired and too lazy to make his own hammock. I continued to sleep with a small smile planted on my lips. Yet I failed to notice the arms that wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to the tired skeleton as he nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck and fell asleep with a big happy smile and a small tint of yellow blush as he whispered a small ‘good night’ to me and the Anti-void went dark.
