Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Frenemies (True Enemy pt 2)

They stared at me for a while before Blue walked up to me and held out his hand for me to shake. "I believe we got off on the wrong foot! I'm Blueberry but you can call me Blue for short!" He spoke smiling. I stared at the hand for a moment silent and shook it. "Hello, I'm (Y/n), but you already knew that" I smiled. Ink and Dream looked Blue and I, shocked that he had made friends with me so easily, even after the fact I was going to fight them. Ink looked at me suspicious, most likely on how I knew so much information about him. "How did you know I have no soul?" He questioned, I looked at him confused slightly till understanding what he meant. "Oh that! Well you see, uh, I just know things like that from working with my friends" I lied. Well partly lied, I did know things like that from work but that's not how I knew he was soulless, I hated lying but I had to if I didn't want them questioning about the files and what not. Ink looked suspicious still and he was about to ask another question when Dream interrupted him. "Are you really friends with Error?" He asked, I nodded "Of course! I made friends with him yessttteeerrrdayyy? I think, I don't know how time works in anti-void's and stuff, and I have heard that I can sleep for about a week or two" I shrugged.

Dream looked surprised "Really? You can sleep for that long?" He questioned. I shrugged, "It's a blessing" Dream chuckled while Blue groaned. "Not another Lazy person" Blue sighed in disappointment. I giggled while Dream laughed at Blue's funny expression. "So, are you part of the bad guys?" Ink questioned, man this guy just wont stop with the threatening tones and questions. "Wha- no! I'm not part of the bad team! I just uh... heard about Error and thought he needed a friend. Like my friend's uncle once said, the best way to defeat your enemy, is to become their friend" I smiled happily, it had been a while since I had glitched out of my AU but I will always remember my friends and their Sensei. Even if I will never see them again or if they don't remember me. "So who are these friends you 'work with'?" Ink questioned, finally a question I can answer truthfully. "G!Ink and G!Error, two friendly people who protect Au's, fix codes, and protect the Au's from the creator's negative feelings about their own AU, although I have never been in an AU or seen a character from one, (Besides today), I have always loved helping out with the AU's and their needs and always wanted to help out where I can" I blabbed. Ink was listening carefully while the other two look plain confused on what I was saying because I was talking so fast.

Ink showed he was listening because every so often his expression would change from confused, to interested, to surprise, to shock and to amazined and overjoyed. When I had finally finished babbling on about my job with the AU's, Ink looked super happy like he had just made a new best friend. "So you know about the AU's and how important they are and are a good guy here to protect them!?" He asked happily with his pinpricks replaced from a blue oval and star to two bright stars full of happiness and excitement. I nodded, I assumed that Ink got too excited because he ended up puking ink onto the somewhat void floor. "Heh. Sorry" he apologized.

I giggled. "No need to apologize" I say looking away from the ink-like vomit. "Heheh" Ink gave a small nervous smile while Dream and Blue were edging away from Ink slowly. Ink cleaned the vomit in a snap, literally, he snapped his fingers and the puddle of ink-vomit was gone. Ink came up to me and asked if I wanted to see some AU's, Of course I said yes but with such low power I was bound to endanger my soul, but at that moment I was oblivious to that fact that I would be. Too overwhelmed with excitement to realise the risk. Ink smiled happily along with the other two. "Great! Oh this is going to be so fun!" Ink smiled. I smiled back happily. "Oh! How about we go to OuterTale?" I nodded and Ink made a portal to OuterTale by using his paintbrush, Dream and Blue went through and I went in with Ink, who was excitedly holding my hand and dragging me through. He dragged me through the AU explaining details about it and the stars and stuff.

I was amazed and tuned him out accidently. Ink then stopped talking and noticed me looking at the sky, the void of little lights and darkness, it was mesmerising. "You like the stars huh?"He questioned, I looked at him confused. "What's a star?" I asked, he looked surprised along with Dream and Blue. "You don't know what a star is?"They asked. I shook my head "I never really got the chance to..." I said looking at the ground. Ink gave me a sad look. "I've pretty been in a plain white void my- almost entire life and bit by bit I forget my old life so I don't remember much..." I looked at the three and smiled. "But who needs old memories when I can make new ones?" I asked in a cheerful tone, The others had sad looks for a moment but they turned into smiles as they told me all about stars and other things I couldn't remember, I was so amazed I didn't yet notice the eyes staring at me with pure curiosity from the shadows.

Unlike me, Dream seemed to notice and was looking around to find the source and was surprised to see Nightmare watching me from the shadows with a curious look in his eye. What confused him most was how and why his brother was here. Nightmare noticed his brother and smirked and pointed at me then left. Once Nightmare left Dream was confused on why he still felt a negative presence close by and looked at me. Once he got closer to me he realised I was the source, yet I wore such a believable fake smile, so un-noticeable, it looked so, so real. Like there was nothing wrong with her, but her aura said she was angry and sad. I wondered why Dream suddenly got so close to me so I moved away from him slightly, I was oblivious to the fact he was trying to understand why someone as kind as me would be so sad and angry, I didn't know either.

I felt fine, honestly! At least that's what I thought... I had lied to myself so long I guess I forgot, heh. Blue and Ink continued to inform me about Outertale and even introduced me to a few of the characters, I was attacked a few times because of my human-like appearance but Ink saved my butt by explaining that I was his friend. Do they think I'm human? They probably do, They most likely think I'm some weak human. Too bad I'm just too lazy to fight back at the moment. Ink, Blue and Dream went to go grab someone else for me to meet so they left me in waterfall with a patch of echo flowers, I grew bored easily and began to make a flower crown out of them while I waited. Suddenly something sharp hit me in the back of my head and I was plunged into darkness as I passed out on the ground. I felt myself being picked up and then I fell into a deep slumber.
